What feats does MCU Thanos need in 'Endgame' to comfortably defeat DCEU Superman?

Personally, I'd say more utilisation of the time gem in combat, country busting + energy projection, or some good 'Professor X' like TP showings with the mind gem should be enough. These are the only things I can see mitigating Clark's speed and other advantages

It doesn't take country busting to beat Superman. Anything near city level damage output wise will more than do.

In terms of dealing with Clark's speed he needs durability.

He needs to have a speed amp more than anything else to ever attempt a fight again Supes.

Until he gets a speed amp I don't see other amps helping a lot unless they are very big.

Speed, a lot of speed.

Just speed.

Better speed, strength, durability and just about everything else.

Speed would be cool but this the MCu we're dealing with. The writers hate speed

He needs to be at least skyfather because that’s what DCEU Superman is.

He needs better speed feats.

He also needs better feats with maybe the mind gem for mind control.

Enough to stalemate this.

With at least one gem he doesn't need any new feats to win. He's strong enough to survive few hits from Clark and one-shot with Power Gem (or use Space Gem, Time Gem, every other stone might be able give him the win too).

Without the stones, I doubt he can get any feats good enough to stand a chance. Maybe beating Thor and Hulk at once without IG (but this seems to be above his level of power).

I really hope that Thanos will get new good feats (or at least won't get nerfed) though.

He needs durability, as well as powerful AoE attacks.

Speed, unambiguous durability to survive something at least equivalent in energy to a big nuke or be comparable to someone who did, and more speed. Flight or something to not be BFR'd as well.

He just need his left hand to snap.

Supes isn't beating him with anything.

A lightning cloak

Don't you think we can do a little scaling here with Hulk and Thanos?

Hulk was nearly one shotted by that first casual lightning punch ( it was more a blast of lightning ).

Thanos tanked SB's lightning just fine, without a scratch, and it was a continuos blast.

Worth mention, SB amped Thor's lightning cloak, we can assume it amped all of his lightning.

Thanos tanked a building just fine too, again, without a scratch and that building feat was way better than Hulk's in AoU ( and Hulk was really dazed from that ).

@laiks stake: Thanos also tanked getting rammed by a spaceship. I don't think he was hurt by anything in the movie.

On the other hand, if the question is what he needs to do to beat Doomsday without gems, that would be interesting.

@byondeon: it takes time to snap, and within that time the gauntlets off already. IW showed that anything from the magic cloak to Iron mans lil device can stop him from using the gauntlet so supes can too.

Seriously though, Supes isn't taking the gauntlet and Clark isn't hurting Thanos with his punches.

He doesn't need anything - He's alright as he is. Supes' much wanked speed will end as soon as he collides with Thanos, anyway.

Then people will see how speed, mere travel speed, stands up to durability.

One thing I missed about MCU Thanos are his energy blasts, his primary weapon in the comics. I guess the Infinity Gems made it redundant.

He needs better striking feats, better durability feats and some neat reaction speed. However, to negate Superman's speed, he'd need some high end blunt force durability feats. He's beneath Superman's notice as of now.

...honestly, I was kinda disappointed at how they portrayed him in IW. He's supposed to be this high tier teambuster with tons of hax at his disposal (TP, energy blasts, matter manipulation and eye vision..etc), Thor on his own wouldn't stand a chance in a one-on-one with the guy, let alone a Thanos with a fully equipped Infinity Gauntlet. Hopefully they'll correct that in Endgame which is highly unlikely.

All he needs is speed, his physicals are easily up to par. But you make it sound like you are using a thanos with the full infinity gauntlet, in which case he already curbstomps, and all he needs is the reality stone to do it.

Speed at least to ever have a chance. Then he just needs a massive strength and durability buff too.

Just needs to show he could react to him. Captain Marvel could possibly be used for that if she shows Superman level Speed.

It's easy to give "super-speed" to Thanos; Just shoot some of his moves in slomo. That's all there is, really.
