In your opinion what things DCEU should do to compete with MCU.
What DCEU should do to make films on par with MCU ?
@the_stegman: @petey_is_spidey: exactly they already make movies better or on bar, with marvel they just need to continue now.
I find it really annoying when people talk about MCU Movies as if they're flawless and perfect, they only made about 3 or 4 great films the rest are very average. Wonder Woman is already better than most MCU films, they don't need to do anything to be on par with Marvel, they're fine.
Just don't repeat the mistake of Suicide Squad.
Keep making movies.

Came to say this basically. Avengers, Iron Man 1, and The Winter Soldier are the only MCU movies I would consider "great". Most MCU movies are very good (GOTG, Thor, Civil War, Avengers 2), but they aren't like a new standard for movies or for superhero movies. They have plenty of flaws but they get covered because of humor and great action. Like you said Wonder Woman is already as good as most of them, and I think Man of Steel is on par too, like with Thor or Iron Man 2.

And Man of Steel too. For me anyway. Agree on everything else, though.

+9000. A lot of people let the most mediocre of MCU films pass for those reasons. Pretty annoying.
A reboot would be a good start, MoS was amazing, up there with Winter Soldier, but the rest is utter garbage
@rbt: what do u mean
MoS, BvS, and Wonder Woman are all better than the majority of MCU films, in my opinion.
So, they just need to keep doing what they're doing.

Meaning, Wonder Woman is better than most pretty much any MCU movie.
They shouldn't try to be like Marvel. They need to be their own film series. I hate when people compare the DCEU films to MCU.

My thoughts exactly.
Only MCU films I would consider as good or better than these are WS and IM1. And even IM1 I haven't watched in years (last time was like 2010 IIRC), so it may be worse than I can remember (OR better; I didn't think MoS was as great as I currently think it is up until my 3rd viewing).
Invest in better writing, and stop over-editing films. DC's first three films in the dceu were really weak, WW is okay. Better writing and editing practices would've improved all of them in my opinion.

Yep. MoS actually kept getting better for me over time as well. I've seen it a handful of times over the years (and again about a month ago), and it's just such a captivating movie for me. I haven't watched Iron Man in a long time, but it and Winter Soldier were the only MCU movies I enjoyed more. That said, Winter Soldier has become a little less enjoyable over time, and there are definitely some parts throughout that I find uninteresting to watch anymore. People can say what they will about BvS, but there isn't an MCU movie to date that I've enjoyed more.
Fix the writing and the editing. So far they have two bad movies, one okay one, and one that was good. But they have a ways to go
Drop in quality is rather easy thing to do. Overall you can see that majority of people like more simple storytelling and have all characters speaking of what they're doing/thinking instead of gathering a picture by themselves from what was shown in the movie itself(even though it's simple). Thats why WW was more successful in the eyes of vocal majority (aka critics) that some people are listen to.
The only bad movie below IM1(the best MCU movie so far) is Suicide Squad, everything else is above Marvel's best. Outside of Marvel Studio bubble FOX and (previously) Sony are making good movies based on Marvel characters that can contend or surpass DCEU ones.
Keep making movies.
Replace Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, terrible terrible terrible casting choice, Bruce Payne would have been a better choice:
Replace Jerod Leto as the Joker, I can't stand his laugh.
Bring back Christian Bale was Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Make movies that tell individual stories, have stakes, and focus on what makes these characters (both protagonists and antagonists) different and important.
Wonder Woman was amazing because it did all of these. BvS was trash because it did none of these.
If DCEU movies did these a la Wonder Woman, their movies would be even better than MCU
@theamazingspidey: than that means that 7% is better than 100% of the DCEU movies
@theamazingspidey: than that means that 7% is better than 100% of the DCEU movies
The only MCU entry I consider superior to Wonder Woman, is The Avengers.
you liked BvS more than MoS. MoS really kinda revoluntionized mid tier action scenes with the Zod vs Sperman for me. BvS had so much it had going, but I felt didn't deliver or execute them very well. What puts BvS over MoS for you?
They have a potential start (now) with WW but the main problem is the structure in which the movies are developed and made.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
@superhero24: I wouldnt say revolutionized. Revolutionized would be if there were more fights like that but no one has yet replicated a fight as good as that. Hulk v Hulk buster was ok but not the same level.
I would say Man of Steel's mid tier action is the gold standard, atleast for now. Sort of how TDK is the goldstandard for CBMs.
I agree with some of the commenters about how DC is already making films on par with Marvel. Man of Steel is still better than most of Marvel's movies. Wonder Woman was also very good. As long as DC doesn't make another Suicide Squad movie, or make another rushed movie (BvS) trying to catch up with Marvel, they should be fine.
well, yeah that is what i mean. Didnt word it right. I think Hancock came before man of steel so they did that type of fighting first. I am just saying imo that there is no way bvs is better than Mos. The action in bvs was kinda weak besides batman's scenes. I wasnt a fan of the doomsday fight. I also didnt like the set up to the fight with batman fighting supes. I am not a fan of the superman that man of steel made, but i gotta give it credit to its mid tier action. That was good like you said it was the gold standard.
