As we're nearing the end of the year, what are your top 5 films?
For me, in order:
- Joker
- Endgame
- Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
- IT: Chapter 2
- Far From Home
Honorable mentions to Hobbs and Shaw, Shazam and Godzilla 2.
As we're nearing the end of the year, what are your top 5 films?
For me, in order:
Honorable mentions to Hobbs and Shaw, Shazam and Godzilla 2.
Honorable Mentions: It Chapter Two, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Shazam
But The Irishman and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (still haven't seen it yet) could easily make my list. Maybe 1917 could as well, it looks great.
Well so far, from what I’ve seen, In no order:
Once Upon A Time in Hollywood
JOKER
John Wick 3: Parabellum
Endgame
Crawl
....I’m still waiting on Zombieland: Double Tap, The Irishman, Ford vs Ferrari, 1917 and Episode IX, which are the only movies I’m really interested in for the rest of the year
Still haven't watched 1917 and Parasite yet therefore this list might change even more.
I only saw 13 movies that were released in 2019. Admittedly, most were only fair at best. Even among my Top-5 only one is what I would call exceptional.
1. Avengers Endgame
2. Frozen II
3. Aladdin
4. The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part**
5 (tie) Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker / Godzilla: King of the Monsters*
* Story-wise, both of these two movies are deeply flawed, but both also gave me what I wanted from them (fan service), so I still walked away feeling really good about the experience.
** Most of what I loved about LEGO 2 was the music, the most fun and upbeat soundtrack of the year.
