With Cap being worthy enough to wield Mjolnir? I certainly didn't.
Were you expecting the Endgame Captain America twist?
I completely forgot about it because I didn't expect Thor to get Mjolnir in the movie. Then in the trinity battle when Thor is about to die and I saw mjolnir floating I knew it was Cap straight away.
Well it was foreshadowed all the way back in Age of Ultron so I knew it would happen but I wasn’t sure when it would be.
It was pretty obvious it would be in the movie.
How?
I thought Thor was just going to dual wield. I never thought they'd allow Cap to perform better than Thor and Iron Man in an Avengers movie. Iron Man one-upped Cap against Loki, Ultron, and Thanos in the first three Avengers film, outperforming him by a lot. Even in his own movie, he got beat up even with with Bucky's help. Even during the fight with Thanos in EG, Cap wielding Mjolnir didn't seem likely after he got punched through a solid slab of rock/concrete. Thor looked like the last one standing of the three, until Mjolnir started to rise...
No
He did so in the comics if I am getting my info right, and since hearing that, I knew it had to happen at one point, though I wouldnt say I expected it.

This.
I mean come on. Cap to the Russo bros is like Rulk to Jeph Loeb at the height of his shenanigans.
@skywalker95: it wasn’t surprising. They teased it in the age of Ultron.
My friend spoiled it for me so yeah...
Thought it was obvious, Russo’s took a picture with Mjolnir back when they were filming Infinity War/Endgame and concept art was shown with Thor using Stormbreaker and Mjolnir back before Infinity War was even released so I knew it would be in the movie. Age Of Ultron foreshadowed it and it was a big moment in the comics. I was honestly more surprised they all didn’t get Asgardian weapons like in Fear Itself.
The only thing that truly surprised me was Black Widow.
@batman242: Before the film released and during it.
I expected it, I just wish it was played more for drama. Like it was something Steve didn't expect to happen but the hammer calls out for him and we get to see him pick it up and it's a huge moment. Unfortunately, we can partly blame Whedon for making a damn joke out of it in AoU, by teasing he could and that he didn't cus he didn't wanna shame THor. God freaking dammit Whedon
@mekboy: Or like Punisher to Garth Ennis lmao
Knew it as soon as the Ultron Mjolnir scene happened. Thought it would happen in Infinity War, since it didn't happen I knew for sure it was gonna be put in Endgame.
100% what I came here to say. Everyone and their dog knew this one.
@daisy_johnson: What I didn't expect was old Steve. 100% thought he was gonna be killed by Thanos after battling him with Mjolnir. I was 40/60 with Tony dying though, considered it a possibility but didn't truly expect it.

I was thinking he may have died in the battle too. I was surprised how few people died. As soon as they killed Thanos at the begging and used Time Travel to reverse the snap, all the stakes were gone and I didn't feel much suspense at all through the movie. I did feel all the rush and excitement though. I was expecting heavier losses than what we got. I was surprised to see old cap at the end as well, but kinda figured it out when we saw the back of his head with the Time Travel talk.
@daisy_johnson: In the end of the day, what an enjoyable film to witness. I'm glad to say I grew up with this franchise.
