over the past 5 years, Jane became the greatest mortal/Asgardian that Thor comics have ever known.

Jane became:

1. Thor which made OG Thor drop his name

2. All Mother of Asgard (Wut!?)

3. Valkyrie

I am officially withdrawing from Thor comics.

I tried to follow this to the end but I simply can't. This is no Thor (and his mythos in general) that I grew up with and the amount of wank Jane is getting is out of this world.

Jane is a Mary Sue, plain and simple.

Most of it boils down to her being a woman so the anti sjw crowd hates her. The Odinson was still getting his own stories and team ups while making regular appearances in her book so it's not even like she really replaced him

@the_kidd: I feel like comicvine over hates "sjw stuff." Janes an extension of that. People also hate aarons Thor run so she probably gets scapegoated for that a bit.

Can't say I understand Marvel's obsession with Jane Foster these past few years, not like she is an integral part of the MCU or something like this considering she hasn't been seen there since Thor: The Dark World and you already have someone you could give this book to instead but at least this make more sense than her being Thor since many Earth women have been Valkyrie in the past. And the costume looks good too.

A bit surprised they aren't going to have Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie star in this book, considering they inroduced a version of her in the recent Exiles book. We all know how much Marvel loves synergy.

That's like 10% of it tbh. Its almost entirely due to the manner in which it was done, how Thor was depicted afterward and other things like how Odin was written and Aaron being over the top with some of the 'messages' he wanted to convey. If you don't understand that then you are just pigeon holing simply to pigeon hole.

They changed everything so fast after the original sin that people couldnt get used to the changes. Then you have Jason Aaron shooving his political agenda and family issues in his run. Why do you think does he show Odin as a drunk and laid-back fuck towards thor? Why does he show Frejya and Jane Foster as guardian figures for thor? Because he is a fucking beta who was rather relying on his mamma or some woman else instead of himself, being beta has no gender in my book, you need to stand up for yourself, not rely on someone else to be respected.
