Visually it looks sexy af.
But I still have no clear indication of the plot and aside from Rorschach this didn't really have a lot more.
I hope it's not bad.
It looks interesting. I'll be watching. I hope this is good and does really well, encouraging HBO to move forwards with more DC content.
That's true. Definitely looks interesting.
From what I can gather it has been years since the events of Watchmen and Ozymandiaz is now old.
And now, there is a revolution inspired by Rorschach. So now we'll get to see the world from someone's perspective and how the riots and the revolution goes.
@rogueshadow: Is that Oz?
@rogueshadow: Is that Oz?
Yup.
@rogueshadow: ...............................Just, wow.
Stolen right from the comments lol.
@the_stegman: Damn you, I wanted to post that! :p
I am way more excited for this than I am for MCU or DCEU movies. I just wish they had shown Dr manhattan.
I hate it. No trailer should end with me saying "What the f#@& was that?" I have no idea what's going on, there's no context or setup, just a mishmash of quick-cuts and a ticking clock. If I knew nothing about the Watchmen I would have zero interest in this project. The trailer comes across as pretentious crap.

So you think its pretentious crap because you don´t have any idea of what is going on?
Now where’s my Sandman series they promised?????
Yep. A sandman series on HBO would be really awesome. I can't believe we have a lucifer show but not sandman.
.....first you had my curious, now you have my attention.
They also took your grammar, apparently.
@payneintheass: The editing of the trailer is unnecessarily convoluted and disorienting. I believe that the trailer editors were trying to evoke the same type of brilliance often attributed to the original source material by using quick, unrelated cuts and iconography. While I am not a huge fan of the final product, the trailer for Snyder’s Watchmen movie is constructed far better than this one. It establishes what the film is going to be about from the first few seconds. It has order and a pace that educates the viewer.
Now, I feel I need to add that my criticisms are directed only towards this trailer. The show could turn out to be great. We’ll find out later this year. A bad trailer doesn’t mean a bad show anymore than a good trailer means a good movie.
Not a fan. Doesn't seem to capture the spirit of Watchmen (yes, it's a trailer but still should feel like Watchmen). Feels more like some dystopian alternate take on what happens after the Watchmen events. Can't say I"m sold on it. And I swear to christ if those freaking mime versions of Joker and Harley show up, I'm shooting my TV Elvis style
Honestly wasn't a fan, but this was a minute teaser, so I'm not writing anything off. Even if I feel HBO isn't the haven some people make it out to be. Here's hoping for the best.
@Penguin-Dust: Well sorry for the late reply, just to say that your stance is fair, but I think it depends more on your tastes.
I just enjoy those type of "wtf is going on" trailers. And since Watchmen is a popular "brand" , with more reason I don´t mind the type of trailer. Like I don´t need to know what is going to happen. Specially not in a comic book related product.
Let´s wait for the main trailer
