Watchmen(movie) misunderstood masterpiece or does it suck?

Can't say it was a masterpiece. Can't say it was "just good popcorn action movie", because it wasn't that either. It's something in between. But in top 5 DC movies all time in my opinion. Still no masterpiece.

Watchmen was a low scoring, flop. trash film is totally overrated by DC fanboys.

It has problems, certainly, but as someone once pointed out to me, Watchmen was a story that was very much meant to be a comic book. All things considered it was probably one of the best live-action adaptations we could have gotten. I don't think it deserves all the hate it gets.

It's definitely a really good movie, a lot of underlying themes.

I like how easy he is to spot.

Its a good film, but a disappointment compared to its source material, which is a classic. It doesn't suck, but its no masterpiece either.

Watchmen the Comic book is one of the greatest comics of all time that being said the movie sucked compared to its source.

Solid movie but not a masterpiece. It's my favorite Snyder flick.

Misunderstood masterpiece. To this day I put it in my top 5 superhero movies of all time.

the director's cut makes it over 3 hours long but very well worth it. it will be the Blade Runner of it's time.

Watchmen is my favorite CBM.

I wouldn't call any CBM a masterpiece, though. But to me it's TDK tier.

The Directors Cut is unique.

It was technically fine. Just not something that grabbed me.
