Wasted MCU characters

Who are MCU characters that died to soon, only made a cameo, only got teased but isn't rumored to appear again, ect.

Please be realistic. Example: I think it's save to say that Tony had a trilogy and was a very prominent character outside his trilogy so he is excluded.

A personal example of mine is Ronan the Accusar.

Not much looking back on it. Some of them still have a chance to return.

The Mandarin. Would have been amazing to have a movie that takes place between Infinity War and Endgame, where Iron Man teams up with Wong to take on the "true" Mandarin.

Sif and the Warrior Three, not because I wanted to see more of them, but because they were absolutely cringe inducing in every scene they appeared.

Nuke getting neck snapped to make way for another villain, was kind of lame. We never really got to see his full potential IMO.

The entirety of "The Hand". Everything about them was done wrong. Having them run around New York as an army of fodder ninjas not only broke the grounded tone of the setting, but also turned them into a joke. They should have remained as a small, elusive group, that uses other gangs to do their bidding. Actual Hand Members should be elite warriors who can each pose a threat to DD on an individual level. Nobu shouldn't have been a high ranking member, he should have been the standard. The 5 Leaders should have been actual mages, with abilities pulled straight from Doctor Strange. Madam Gao should have honestly just been a complete 3rd party to the Defenders vs Hand conflict, who just happens to be knowledgeable enough in mysticism to be aware of their presence. ----> Every complaint I have about the Hand is also applicable to the League of Assassins in CW.

The mandarin will appear as the main villain of the Shang chi movie.

I think hulk honestly, we didn’t even see how hulk and he became one, something that should by all rights become a big moment became a laughing moment in the movies.

Oh, Hela was pretty wasted. Cate brought potential out of her, but she was a victim of Ragnarok putting in two many storylines and jokes in a less-than-3-hour film.

Honestly, look at her reaction when Hogun threatens her, "I thought you'd be happy to see me". Or when she revealed Odin's past. She was angry and disappointed, genuinely looked rather sad for brief moments, and it was fairly well executed.

The major complaint I have with Ragnarok is that. Should've been a two-part film IMO, maybe a little less comedic too. Give each arc the screentime and development it deserves. Even the ending witht he prophecy looked a bit rushed/convenient.

Exactly! Cate did a great job with the little she was given. I was genuinely interested in Hela as a character and wish they had actually used her more. I still have no idea why they killed her off instead of saving her for a team-up with Thanos or something.

I also agree with the suggestion that Ragnarok probably should've been a 2-parter. There was a lot of interesting stuff there. And yeah, it was way too comedic considering it was the end of the damn world not to mention the fact that Thor was fighting such a serious threat.

Instead of Thor : Ragnarok there should be two movies. Thor : Ragnarok and Planet Hulk. Combining two storylines was a mistake.

Ronan the Accuser.

Ultron. Elektra. Vision. Red Skull. Ghost Rider. Odin. Crossbones. Quicksilver. Ronan. The Mandarin.

Quicksilver definitely. It's like his death only served to activate Wanda's angry mode and nerf the team's versatility. We barely got to know him.

Definitey Hela and Quicksilver I suppose too.

Too many to name. Most notable should be:

Winter Soldier - they just coined his codename and elements of his introduction, given how rich and detailed Brubaker's portrayal of Bucky is, this is a complete failure on the Russos part.

Hela - Pointless to hire an actress of Blanchett's stature and let her simply cruise on her own charisma instead of actually giving her something to do.

Spider-Man - I occasionally enjoy him but he's had minimal development or actual progression as a character even after five films. He should be at the forefront of the new era of the franchise, given that he is the most popular Marvel character, by far. Instead, he is disrespected.

Quicksilver, The Leader, Abomination, Odin, and Ultron.

There's a lot of characters which Marvel didn't really manage to develop well. To name a few which have been ignored imo:

This is more a guess than anything but I'll say Taskmaster. So far he looks more like an obstacle than a character

He has shown no personalities in any of the trailers or TV spots and MCU had a bad track record of killing villains especially the one dimensional ones.

I would have said fake Mandarin, but now that we're actually getting a proper Mandarin, no complaint there.
