In Gotg, Ronan aim was to wipe out Xandar with Power stone. In Endgame, Thanos was never holding back unlike Infinity war.

Do you think his punch using Power stone was planet busting level?

Obviously.Nothing says the opposite.

More like universe busting, since the stones are confirmed universal and Thanos wasn’t holding back.

@tobymaguire: Not even close. Power stone is wildly inconsistent, unless IM is planet level durability also?

the bigger the target, the bigger the power surge, it was stated in GOTG

He was holding back in infinity war and playing with Tony unlike Endgame. Most of the Avengers would be dead if he was not holding back with multiple infinity stone

I think it was multiverse busting if I recall the scene correctly.

@thesuperor:

Incorrect.

It wasn't the power stone and the movie never got released we are all schizophrenics in a facility designed to study our brains and reasoning abilities.

Take the red pill.

He almost lost the Gauntlet in the first like minute of the fight. Why would he hold back after almost losing the gauntlet and subsequently the entire plan/fight. It makes no sense for him to risk losing and its purely speculation that he was holding back.

@tobymaguire: even then... if he could bust planets/moons with ease could he not just one shot Tony with the power Gem and not kill him? Tony took 2-3 power stone attacks with no problem.

@flashgreatersigneveryone: Thanos was holding back and only wanted to incapacitate Tony, not kill him. Not until he had a word with Tony on how much he respected him.

@flashgreatersigneveryone: If he was not holding back, the Avengers would all have been in infinity war

so to confirm your hypothesis, you provide another hypothesis? Gotcha.

There is no reason to assume Thanos was holding back. In fact it would be a stretch to assume that he was holding back because that would be against his character.

There no way to verify how hard the punch was other than the fact it one shotted Carol.

@flashgreatersigneveryone:

In context to Endgame, Thanos was holding back. In context to the Hulk fight, Thanos wasn’t holding back. In context to that sadist smile you see on his face when crushing Loki’s neck, or when you see him ripping nebula apart, he is holding back. Otherwise he wouldn’t go out of his way to hit fodders with non lethal stone attacks. Do you see endgame Thanos doing the same thing with Steve in IW?

I think he was probably still reeling from the pain of wielding the power stone bare-handed to the point that using all of its planet-busting potential wasn't feasible, not unlike his demonstrably insufficient Rainbow Blast against Stormbreaker in Infinity War just after dealing with a completed Infinity Gauntlet's feedback.

Maybe. But if we think about that Thor took planet busting power to the head for several seconds. So I doubt either instance was that kind of power.

We need some confirmation on how far the punch sent her, did it send her to space?

Or just a few feet in the air.

Thanos was just torturing Thor slowly and painfully so Loki will give up the stone. He was clearly holding back.Not the desperate bloodlusted Thanos in Endgame who was almost going to be defeated by Carol

It's planet busting since Feige said Captain Marvel is that powerful and he knocked her out with a single punch.

@jashro44: @mr_shazam0920: @thesuperor: @nandope: @tobymaguire: @byondeon: @misterpollas: @tobymaguire:

Look at what Gamora says ( this statement is correct, because Gamora is specialist of Thanos and Ronan so she is well schooled ):

Cap Marvel had inorganic suit and was covered by inorganic energy cloak/shield. + Cap Marvel is very small so no. She didn't even got hit by even building lvl attack.

+ this statement confirms power stone feats in infinity war like busting the ship or cracking Titan's moon surface

@jashro44: Yeah people say "Feats always are above statements" but what kind of statements. Is it either told by person well schooled, very wise, based on some calculation or personal experiences ( as Gamora ) or statement from person who thinks he/she is specialist but knows nothing.

Soil is organic actually

Avatar image for tobymaguire
#45 Edited by TobyMaguire (1071 posts) - - Show Bio

@sexybayonetta22: In general, soil contains 40-45%inorganic matter, 5% organic matter, 25% water, and 25% air.

Also soils in moons with no life are pretty much inorganic.

Thanos also sets Asgardian spaceship on fire using Power stone.
