This is why Warner Bros are completely stupid. Spending this much money on this crap? Really? I dont care, this film should've been delayed to March for Snyder and to not waste money on reshoots and crap like this.
Warner Bros spent approximately $25 million on digitally removing Henry Cavills moustache! SMH
@nemesisreloaded: Agree about this Crap cgi
If price is legit, then just wow.
End result looks like something made on pirated photoshop for 500$. Could have simply used make up beard and that mullet hair like in comics. Would have costed much less and would have looked much more natural imo.
Am i the only one who thinks the CGI version looks like a weird fusion of Henry Cavill and John Travolta?
They spent that much on such a crappy job?? Just have him keep it.
And to think, had they just given him a beard it would have cost them like.... less than 1% of that
I highly doubt that number is true.
This.
I can't believe that they used 25 mil on that, and the end result was still crappy CGI. I kinda find it very very hard to believe.
@the_stegman: It’s hard to scale the cost of a last min CGI team, they were probably basically at their mercy and they could charge whatever they wanted.
U can’t defend some of these dumb DCEU decisions. Why not pay paramount 20 or less million to let Cavill shave the damn thing off???
The DCEU is embarrassing, smh
@saintwildcard: exactly. And would look way better.
The DCEU is embarrassing, smh
Yeah bearded superman would've been good. Whedon was probably too afraid of causing more "MUH SUPERMAN" memes and it ended up backfiring instead.

They did, and Paramount said no. Plus with the Superman scenes before Henry grew the mustache already filmed before the reshoots, it's hard to say how cost effective it would have been to add a beard into those shots if they'd tried to work with the hair.

Here's the true stupidity behind this moustache nonsense.
Superman wasn't dead.
We know from Man of Steel that he can grow a beard, he was in the ground for long enough to grow one and he wasn't dead. They should have opened that casket and seen the beard and realised he wasn't dead and then used the mother box to wake him, not revive him.
They spent $25m on something that makes less sense than taking that moustache and going with it. It's insane.
Would it have been a crime if Superman just had a mustache?
Why didn't they just give Kal a beard?
Shouldve just gave him a beard
Tell me, how was he supposed to grow beard while being dead? Remember, he was clean shaven when he died in BVS.

Same way he grew a mullet in the comics, or just say the motherbox did it or hell, I'll just take that bit of plot hole. Any an everything is better then wasting millions of dollars making Henry look like someone put a snapchat filter over his scenes.
I don't think the bottom picture when he fights the league looks that bad the first one well.....looks like bad Photoshop

In the comic he was alive and recovering, not completely dead like in the movie.
@from_beyond: So just change that one line of dialogue in the movie and say Clark was technically alive.

Just add that to the movie, and boom. Or again, I'd just take the plot hole.
Should’ve removed the movie instead. ???
Lmao
Would it have been a crime if Superman just had a mustache?
I think the real question is why didn't the actor remove the mustache. It's something he should have done.
