Poll Wanda has suffer more loss than Thor in the MCU? (94 votes)
I have seen so many post of people saying that Wanda is the character that most suffered loss in the MCU.
People forgot Thor? Or is this another men don't cry BS?

You seem more interested in the men aren't allowed to cry thing.
But whatever, on topic there is no point in measuring whose grief is greater. It's just arbitrary as to one person losing a nation is meh and losing their dog is a great tragedy. For others it's vice versa.
But if we want to count who has lost more it's thanos. Lost home world. Lost child whom he had to kill. Lost lieutenants etc.

It's not like Thanos didn't deserve those thing tbh.
OT: I say neither.
@rbt: oh yea he just had to kill his sister, had his home world destroyed, lost his brother, saw his father die, got his hammer broken, had his three bestfriends die and made a mistake that caused half the universe to die that launch him into a 5 year depression which caused him to gain a ton of weight and then had another 2 good friends die.
Imagine if Earth was destroyed. Yeah. Thor's been with Asgard longer than any of us have been with Earth, and he had to order its destruction.
It's closer than either side would like to admit. They've both lost everyone they care about. Thor also lost his home, but Wanda has lost her kids for the moment. It just depends on how you view grief.

This!
We have to understand that experiences are all different. No ones struggles is diminished by a different persons.
Its just based on what relate to the most.
Thor has due to his lifetime. Comparably, Wanda lost hers in years and weeks, but to Thor, it might as well be minutes. Literally like 5 years out of his 1500.

You forgot that he lost his mother. One of his eyes. Lost his throne and tittle to his girlfriend. Oh wait he lost her too, so ex-girlfriend. At least he got a ride with the Guardians. He also lost his abs and hair.
This is very much phrased so ppl will vote for Thor, with the men are allowed to cry comment.
OT: Wanda has suffered more. She literally experienced even more trauma by the end of WandaVision with the loss of her kids and vision
She also lost her brother, her parents, and her freedom in civil war.
Thor has suffered and lost so much in a relatively short span of time. He was the heir to Asgard for over a thousand of years, but even after losing that and his family, he is still a famous, beloved superhero on Earth, and has a good number of people he calls friends. Not to undermine his suffering but...
Wanda's entire life pretty much sucked. She lived in poverty, until her parents were killed when she was 10. Then she and her brother became homeless, and desperate enough to volunteer for dangerous illegal experiments, and join a terrorist organization. Then she helped save the world from Skynet 2.0, and watched her brother die. She was accepted by the Avengers, but she felt isolated from everyone other than Vision. Then she is crucified by the media for saving the life of her teammate, who got careless, which kickstarts an event that leaves her on the run. The only source of happiness in her life is Vision. Then Wanda has to save the world again, and watches Vision die in the process. Sound familiar? When she goes to retrieve the body of the one she loves for a proper burial, she sees him dismembered, and has her request denied. Nevertheless, Wanda complies with this, and goes to a town where she is finally able to create the life she wanted. For this she's decried a monster, and persecuted. Not to mention, the whole turns out to be a ploy all along. And unlike Thor, Wanda is neither immortal, nor a goddess. She cannot just start over elsewhere, in the way Thor did. This is her only shot at life.
Notice that I did not mention their gender even once.
Wanda had a rough childhood growing up losing both her parents at a very young age. Losing her brother thanks to Ultron. Has to witness her boyfriend getting killed three times now while also losing her children.
Thor had thousands of years living with his parents and had many friends along the way and a brother. At least Thor could say goodbye to both his mother and father.

this+his mom,dad,bro,best mate+hammer+eye
Both are last surviving member of their family. Yikes.
At least Thor didn't have his soulmate die on him. That "To grow old in" scene was heartbreaking.
He just had his home planet blown up, half his people die, his whole family died, his best friend got stabbed in the heart right in front of him, his brother got choked to death in front of him, his ship blow up with half his people dead in front of him.
But we all know that losing your soulmate is way worse..

Have you ever considered that while you didn't mention their gender, many people actually DO believe that while Thor suffered more, since he is a man, he should just man up and deal with it, instead of showing emotions.
And then people complain when someone mentions toxic masculinity..
@cocacolaman: he and Korg were pretty much joking about that by the end
OT: Definitely Wanda

Comedy is a way to deal with trauma

Never knew his sister, both lost their brother, both lost their parents, both lost their homes - and Wanda has to live with how she's killed innocents/was part of a terrorist organization in addition to having to kill the love of her life.
Wanda has a much better reason to be damaged.
@diydeath: thor has objectively had it worse. His failure to kill thanos outweighs Wanda's guilt of killing innocents. He blamed himself for HALF THE UNIVERSE being killed.
Besides her twin brother, whose death she only had to experience once, Wanda had to see everyone she cared about die twice -- granted that was her doing in the end, it still happened. She had to be the one to kill her loved one the first time. Actually scratch that: she was the one who had to end them in the hex too. And a mother losing her children is also the most tragic loss there is in the world. That's putting aside all the people she accidently murdered, reliving the loss of her parents, but this time being on the opposite end. She also died herself before being revived. And Thor is an adult with centuries of life experience, who practically grew up ready to witness war within the universe, whereas she was just a kid when all this hapeened.
I don't know how Thor could have possibly suffered more loss. People bringing up him losing his precious hammer and an eyeball, both of which he quickly recovered, and gaining weight is at least insulting.
Imagine if Earth was destroyed. Yeah. Thor's been with Asgard longer than any of us have been with Earth, and he had to order its destruction.
The entire point of Ragnarok was that Asgard is a people and not a place, lol.

That's where we get into the discussion of "does what I feel reflect reality?". Thor had no freaking clue what he was dealing with at the time he threw Stormbreaker; a center mass shot wasn't a mistake given his knowledge.
Wanda on the other hand has hurt and killed innocents. She was part of a terrorist cell and was pretty radicalized until she actually met Stark. What she felt directly reflects her reality.
So imo, Wanda has a much better reason to be hurt than Thor, regardless of how their symptoms manifest.
@diydeath: but in his mind he could've done more. He let his arrogance get in the way and tried to gloat before killing thanos. That's what got half that universe killed. He had a chance to save everyone and screwed up. His actions and failures lead to the death of half the universe. Wanda might've killed a few people here and there, but thor's actions led to half the universe dying.

Not sure how he could have done more, he stuck a magical axe deep in Thanos's chest cavity and then pushed it in even further, trying to kill the guy.
The only thing he could have hoped for that would have been better was an instant kill, which he didn't know he needed to do because nobody knew exactly how the Infinity Gauntlet did it's mojo.
This is what I meant by perception vs reality. Thor's perception was that he goofed up badly but the reality is that given his information at the time, outside of risking a headshot, he did everything right.
Wanda's perception matches her reality, however. She was bad and still does bad things.
Wanda has a much better reason to be damaged than Thor does. Thor just blames himself for variables which he didn't predict due to ignorance.
@diydeath: but the consequences of his ignorance more than make for lack of info. He failed when the stakes were much higher. He failed on a universal level.

Probably. I simply tried to offer a logical explanation for why I believe Wanda had it worse, without resorting to "she's a woman, so people are more sympathetic towards her".

Thor has it worse. It's not even close. Thor could have killed Thanos in Infinity War with a headshot, but instead he hit Thanos in the chest. This gave Thanos the chance to snap half the universe. Thor was carrying the burden of protecting the entire universe, and because of his need for vengeance, ended up carrying the burden of having failed the entire universe.
Well, Thor lost people that he occasionally interacts with, while Wanda lost her soul mate!
I think they're about equal.
Aside from who lost more, it's worth noting that Thor blames himself for his losses. That's the real difference.
And he beats himself up over it every living moment after Infinity War.
