Rey is the actual chosen one, and would school Anakin in a fight.
Unpopular Star Wars Opinions: what are yours?
@achillesspawn: I mean after all Anakin was all but confirmed as the Chosen One in Episode IX "bring Balance to the Force, as i once did" meaning the prophecy was fulfilled.
The Last Jedi is a legitimately good movie.
And The Bad Batch is largely overrated
TROS is good, too
TROS and TLJ>>AOTC and TPM
Sequels>>Prequels
The OT carries most Star Wars
Jar Jar Binks isn't a Sith and the joke is annoying
TCW S7 is overrated
Rey is not a Mary Sue
Kylo Ren is not weak
Vader is largely overrated
All Vader is at this point is a depressed teen crying about how he lost his girlfriend 24/7
Palpatine didn't let Mace win (dunno if this is unpopular)
Kylo Ren isn't a bad duelist, his only showing of being a bad duelist was in TLJ, which was ONE SCENE
Vader not holding back against Ahsoka makes no legit sense and she should've been destroyed by him

Boy you're gonna get.crucified by the fandom hahhhaahaha

Not like I already do
It's not as good as Star Trek.
It’s an overrated franchise with more missteps than quality.
@catman5: I tried to post in your Star Wars thread that Empire was the best Star Wars film but it didn't work.
Although, my favorite Star Wars film might be Revenge of the Sith.
@ready_4_madness But those were words of truth
I don't think Rosh Penin was a bad character, I know many see him as such but like...being honest? He's basically us if we ever would go on to want to become a Jedi. Being enthusiastic and wanting to be one so badly, which then of course comes biting him in the butt and he goes to the dark side. Which mind you, is where he shows some pretty good skill and Force ability when you fight him.
Inconsistencies and Retcons on the saga has always existed filoni isnt the only one who has done it
Both Clone Wars are fine on their own right 2003 is better for seeing action and the realities of the war 2008 is better for character development and arcs
I don't think these are unpopular?
@wolfrazer: they are there is some people that had a utter hate for filoni becuase of that and there is others that dislike or like more the clone wars tv series
@el_mago: I mean personally I like the old CWs history much better, but if we're just discussing show to show, then I don't really see how you could try and even compare the two in their respective focuses and say one is better than the other at it.
Far as Filoni, he's...fine, so long as you separate TCW from basically everything else if discussing C-Canon, because of course nothing is gonna fit because it was its own thing. I mean I won't speak of the newer retcons he's done, but still.
Disney's Star Wars "department" loathes the stoic prequel Jedi with a passion. It oozes from every piece of material they pump out. The only decent Jedi were the ones who were rogues, the select main characters they want you to like. You can't like anybody else. They like the idea of Jedi, but not really the Jedi as intended by Lucas -- the prequels were designed to display real Jedi in the prime of their Order. The High Republic's retconning, that in fact the prequel Jedi are not normal Jedi, allows Disney to maintain the very vague concept of "Jedi" without having to include all the stuff they find... limiting. They simply desire regular people, with lightsabers and the Force. This cancerous perspective was a failing of the old EU as well in respect to certain areas of lore, and it took a large amount of fans with it. Infatuation with "the grey Jedi" knew no bounds.
Filoni is a terrible director. He retcons whatever he wants whenever he feels like it simply because he has the power to do so.
Ahsoka is one of the worst characters in all of fiction.
The sequels are good movies but not good Star Wars movies.
Count Dooku and Darth Maul are cooler than Darth Vader.
Prequel dialogue was not bad, it was supposed to be cringeworthy.
This is a remarkably agreeable take, though I don't concur with some of it.
Star Wars is cooler when it's more "grounded". Country/planetary and up jedi and sith is really stupid imo. It's something the new canon has done better imo more or less with a few exceptions.
Personally always liked the feel I got from clone wars. These characters are powerful but their not gods compared to trained non force sensitives
Return of the Jedi is overrated. Han Solo was turned into a gimmick, Boba Fett should have not gone out the way he did and there should have not been a second Death Star.
- AOTC and TPM are tied for the worst Star Wars movies. (AOTC may slightly edge out TPM in that regard.)
- Legend power levels are ridiculous and do not belong in Star Wars at all. Canon did a good job of fixing that.
- TLJ is one of the top 3 Star Wars movies.
- TFA is overrated and a copy paste of ANH.
- Rogue One is the best movie.
- Count Dooku is a bland character.
- Darth Maul is overrated and was overused.
- Emperor Palpatine is a mediocre villain, Darth Vader is a thousand times better.
- Luke Skywalker is overrated.
- Mace Windu is a bland character as well.
- TROS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> AOTC and TPM.
- Obi-Wan and Darth Vader >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> All the rest of the original characters combined.
- Kylo Ren has one the best character developments for a Star Wars character.
