What are some underrated scenes in your opinion? For me it is after Thor beheads farmer Thanos and walks off before it cuts to 5 years later, great callback to the porch scene with the music and a fantastic way to set up the rest of the movie.

Opening scene with Hawkeye, is probably one of the best scenes in the MCU.

Good stuff. Thor and his mom.
MCU is money with short intimate moments.

Giant Man one shotting the leviathan was pretty insane, puts his strength near base Hulk level.

Edit : I read this as feats my bad. Underrated moment would be Thor talking to his mother in Asgard, I thought that was great for his character since he’s lost so much.

Thor and his emotional moment with his mother as many had just mentioned.

The character seems to either get crap reception from the comic book fans, or from the general audience their attention was mostly focused on him being fat and no longer what he used to be comedy moments.

So that emotional moment was more or less overlooked.

Ahh yes that scene was amazing too, I also loved when Steve saw Peggy through the window when they went to the past.

Thor fighting against the online gamer was the most underrated thing.

When it comes to underrated scenes, it's always those small moments, the interactions between characters, like:

1) Cap in support group, of course he'd be there after Falcon's gone

2) Rocket giving FatThor the pep talks, who would've imagine Rocket as cynical as he is.

3) Tony interactions with his father, trying to tell Howard he has a granddaughter now.

Haven’t seen anyone mention Spider-Man’s scenes with the gauntlet, one of my favourite scenes in the movie when he bounces from people to people.

Hulk handing out food to Scott.

Most Thor scenes are underrated, NoobMaster and Aether explanation were great.

Bucky and Cap’s gay sex scene.

Tony’s initial rant against Cap when he returns, very underrated, references to AoU.

Hail Hydra!

The act 1 is underrated, in my opinion. People keep bashing on it, but I really enjoyed it.

Thanos being ruthlessly assaulted and murdered by home invaders while peacefully living out retirement at "the garden".

Most audience members laughed and cheered as the man who just saved the universe was slaughtered, due to the fact he destroyed the stones which he could have easily used to kill his home invaders with if he was a lesser man.

And then to spit on his grave they undid his snap dooming the universe.

Seeing Jarvis in the past was the first legitimate connection an MCU movie has made to an MCU tv show. This was actually a huge deal.

Underrated?

Natasha breaking down and being desperate to find Clint was a great scene.

Ronin was badass

Black Panther with those AoE punches again is so cool to watch

I love when they're in the M-Ship and give a callback to Budapest, they both look so happy.

Don't think Hail Hydra should be mentioned in this thread as the elevator scene on the whole is mentioned as one of the standout scenes quite often and rightly so.

On topic:

The dialogue between Cap and Nat

Loki escaping with the tesseract

Howard the Duck as part of the battle

The short conversation between Tony and Strange

Nat and Clint on the spaceship. Seeing them having fun was so bittersweet while knowing at the same time that it'll end in a tragedy soon

  • The Ancient One- every moment, from fighting the chitauri, to "you're about 5 years too early".
  • Giant Man- punching Leviathan and crushing Cull Obsidian, finally he's undeniably a tier above the Hulk, as I've been saying for years

@aka_aka_aka_ak: Leviathan feat isn't impressive or above what Hulk has done. Cull Obsidian was already weakened and that was a cheap shot.

It's way above what Hulk has done. Hulk had to get his entire body behind that punch and even then all he did was slow it to a halt. Giant Man caused more damage and just with his arms and wasn't at all knocked back himself.

"Cull Obsidian was already weakened"

Oh come on, even you must realise this is reaching

I thought it was cool how Tony actually figured out time travel. I didn’t like the premise at all, but I liked how they actually got to a point where it’s possible and tested with it.

If you told me back I’m the day after the first Avengers movie that they were going to Time leap, I’d scoff tbh.

Ant Man's entire role in the movie tbh. I mean he's the one who presents the initial concept which ends up saving everyone, he does so damn much tbh... And everyone just mocks him to his face ?

Tony’s message to pepper in the beginning of the movie.
