I'm in 100% agreement with Jeff. Spidey & MJ's undoing was foolish and tragic.

The Batman and Robin silent issue after Damian died is the only comic I've ever teared up over. Truly a masterpiece.

The B&R silent issue made me cry. I'll admit to that. ...I had to sit on the loss of Damian for a long time.

During DC's 2007-2008 series '52' you see Vic Sage as The Question basically wither away and die from cancer. That was really tough for me, cancer has hit my family hard over the years.

Losing Peter Parker in Ultimate Spidey was such a tragic ending too, made it really hard to open up to Miles for an extended amount of time since it just felt wrong to replace the Peter I had literally grown up reading.

In all seriousness, Death Of Superman to me still gives me more emotional reaction than any other DC or Marvel comic I've ever read.

The ending of Final Execution in Uncanny X-Force was pretty sad to me. Not just that Wolverine had to kill his son, but the way the whole issue was intercut with imaginings of what a happy childhood for him would've been like. That got to me.

The saddest moments that come to mind are Batwoman #0(Interlude) before the funeral, and Kate says, "Beth always helped me pick out what to wear". And Mighty Avengers #20, Wasps funeral.

Damians death. Man, what a ride I shared with the little guy. He is one of the reasons that morrisons Batman run will always be my favorite run on a book. At first i hated Damian so much and then he was one of my favorite characters in all of comics.

When he died and we saw Bruce carrying the coffin I really teared up.

Batman and Robin #18 is the first time I had to put down a comic in the middle of reading it, and just walk away...then come back with a box of tissues; that's probably my saddest moment. But Peter's death in Ultimate Spider-Man is a close second.

Elongated Man's reaction to his wife's death (Sue Dibny). This was right around the time I really started to get into comics, and that whole story actually moved me to a whimper.

There were quite a few heart-breaking moments over the years (Wasp's funeral, Sentry's death, Peter dying in Ock's body), but the moment that touched me the most was Thor and Jane sitting on the moon watching earth after she just told him she had cancer.

It's such a sad and moving moment and it tells the reader so much about Thor's character and his love for midgard and humans.

"My last earth girlfriend was breathtaking."

Mine is kind of silly compared to all these deaths, but at the time it struck me pretty hard. Kitty Pryde cheating on and dumping Pete Wisdom in Excalibur. This mimicked and came out the same month that my ex fiancee dumped me for a friend while I was stationed overseas. I thought it was really well done when played against Nightmare tormenting the entire team and Pete's comment really struck me. "Nothing you could put me through is any worse than what she's already doing." Sometimes the most powerful things come about because they parallel your own life. Wisdom is still my favorite Marvel character, I hope he gets some use at some point.
