13. Captain America Off course he had to be here. He is the Embodyment of a Superhero
14. Nick Fury Jr. I was skeptical at First but after reading Secret Avengers he seems like a Character I am gonna Love
15. Daredevil He is Blind Boss Badass |
1. Hank Pym.
Marvel have done an astounding Job thusfar of making the Founding Avenger relevant again, although I wasn't entirely Keen on Age of Ultron, noone can deny how strong a presence the Size Altering Scientist had whenever he appeared.
I'm really looking forward to seeing where Marvel go with him next and this is shaping up to be a really good year for him.
2. Batman.
Snyder has delivered somewhat of a masterclass in writing with the Caped Crusader and really brought him forward as the flagship frontrunner of DC's New 52.
Death of the Family really shook things up and Requiem has given many a Bat fan sleepless nights.
A Dark, yet strong year ahead.
3. Rogue.
I was hesitant at first with the pitch of the changes to Rogues behaviour and her stepping up to join an all new "Uncanny Avengers" team, I'm pleased to say my fears were swept under the carpet quickly and Uncanny has quickly become one of my pull list regulars.
There is something about the way Rogue currently behaves that makes her much more endearing, stronger in presence than she ever was before (which takes some doing). Rogue is definatley a big winner of the NOW revamp.
4. Winter Soldier
An absolute travesty occured when this series became cancelled, criminally under-rated and underappreciated, the Winter Soldier said it's last hurrah with an emotional send of with Issue 19.
Bucky Barnes is an absolutely fantastic character, it's just a shame that Marvel didn't give the series enough time to recover from the departure of Ed Brubaker.
5. Captain America
In the same breath that the Winter Soldier didn't recover from Brubakers departure, Captain America continues to go from Strength to Strength.
I highly dislike the new "Turtle Helmet" look, but you cannot deny, the Sentinel of Liberty is always a welcome presence and still doing exceptionally well.
As for that "Death" we saw in Age of Ultron....as the good Captain would say...
"NO SON, YOU JUST DONT"
6. Captain Marvel
Kelly Sue DeConnick has done an absolutely Phenominal Job with Carol Danvers proving that "You don't need to be Wonder Woman to have your own ongoing series"
Rumor has it the plug may be pulled soon on what has been an exciting run, but it won't be going out with a wimper, it'll likely go out with a bang as Big as the Mightest Avenger herself, I highly doubt this'll be the last time we see Carol grace the pages of her own series, perhaps a paired book with her best friend Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman could be the next step for Kelly Sue and Captain Marvel?

History's original strongman & superhero.
The best version of Hercules - Easily and by far.
The first ever non-heroic looking superhero and Marvel's original tough-guy.
The first and still the greatest superhero.
The ultimate patriotic superhero.
The ultimate fighting machine.
The ultimate leader.
The first superhero based on an actual god.
The original and true Captain Marvel.
Before Han Solo. Before Luke Skywalker. Before Adam Strange. Before Captain James T. Kirk. Before all these, and other sci-fi icons, there was Flash Gordon! He's the best of the bunch!
The Toughest of the Tough. Possibly the most universally accepted as being "cool" fictional character of all-time!
The best cartoon/toy-based character ever. Also the first Super-strong hero to actually have a powerfully depicted physique in both his cartoon series and his action figure.
Marvel's supers-strong, super-tough, super-sized and super-brassy heroine inspired by the women's lib movement of the early 70's. Thundra was hot and she loved the Thing, so I loved her. I still do.
Big and Beautiful, Barda might strike some people as a poor-man's Wonder Woman but to me she's DC's best heroine.
