Top 10 best selling manga in the first half of 2023 (Domestic) :

This year was very predictable. The Demon Slayer effect is gone now with the manga ending two years ago , which is the cause of drop in sales for the whole market. It was already expected.

Kaiju no.8 is the only manga in Top 10 without an anime or live action adaptation. Slae sfor JJK (has less volumes) and Tokyo Revengers dropped from last year, while One Piece (had more volumes than the previous year) and Spy x Family sales increased.

JJK still needs to sit right with me, I enjoyed the first season and the movie but it wasn't amazing or anything. Now Chainsaw Man is really fun for now. Spy x Family I tried but got bored after first few episodes. Blue Lock I'm about to start, might be a good anime to replace that Haikyuu hole.

@gaoron: blue lock is good but it's not gonna feel the Haikyuu whole. If you ask me Ao Ashi is the football/soccer anime/manga that's more in line with Haikyuu. Also it's better than Blue Lock imo. Give it a try if you are looking for a Hypeku!! replacement.

I loved JJK from the get go, but the first season is the one of weakest part of JJK.

Season 2 will probably cover the 'Hidden Inventory mini arc' and the half of 'Shibuya Arc'. That's where JJK peaked

No real surprises there. Just thought that Blue Lock would be a bit higher.

No surprises in top 10. I thought OPM would be higher. Haikyuu in top 20 with 0 new volumes and ending nearly 2 years ago is a bit surprising. Also expected spy x family to otsell Tokyo Revengers, but TR has too many new releases

@nassergrant19: It's normal. One Piece isn't always no.1 but it's consistent. Other manga will rise and fall but OP is eternal.

You make it sound like one piece is the only manga who makes it to the list consistently. There are dozens other manga who were consistently top seller till they ended

Considering current trend Oshi no ko will definitely go higher by the end of the year.Blue Lock has likely secured it's no.1 spot.If it stays that way for rest of 2023 Blue Lock will become the first non shueisha manga in 21st century to achieve this feat.
