Catwoman reacted to and oneshotted not 1, not 2 but 3 flashes. Barry Allen and the two Wally Wests. What's next? Her claws will pierce Darkseid?
Tom Kings fetish for Catwoman is unbelievable.
I love King's work on Mister Miracle, The Vision and that Darkseid War: Green Lantern one shot.
BUT.
SCREW.
HIS.
BATMAN.
RUN.
I heard Batman beat Superman with a whistle
He beat him using couple of words he whispered to Catwoman. I am not lying.
I heard Batman beat Superman with a whistle
You heard correctly.
King at least offered the explanation that, due to Superman being mind-controlled, he did not have the capacity to distinguish when he "should listen and when he shouldn't" - implying it wouldn't have worked had he been in his right mind.
Of course, it's still asinine. Simple whistling shouldn't do anything to Superman no matter his mindset.
This is so absurd it's actually funny. I get some writers don't respect power levels, okay, some writers write others down, and that's annoying and poor writing, (tynion, aaron), but this scene, this scene is a while new level of ridiculous.
So is mine.
Times like these are why I'm glad I care more about story and characters than power levels.
Also, if Superman and the Flashes are being mind controlled (and likely fighting against it), doesn't that explain why they're having such an easy time against them? Don't get me wrong, I'm sick of JL members being mind controlled and sent after Batman to prove what a badass he is, but the in-story explanation seem to indicate that this wouldn't be so easy if the characters were in control of themselves.

Regardless if you care about power levels or not, a story in which a human one shotting and reacting to people who can casually run faster than the speed of light makes no sense. As if Tom King knows how to write good Batman stories to begin with
(and likely fighting against it)
There was no indication at all that they were fighting against it.

Ok, lets assume no one was at their normal powerlevels, by logic Catwoman can't even tag Deathstroke (Under King she might beat him).
but the in-story explanation seem to indicate that this wouldn't be so easy if the characters were in control of themselves.
No, there wasn't any explanation at all.
Well, another reason why Batman & Crew is a marmite franchise now... either you love it to bits because of things like this, or you hate it because of things like this.
Lmao pahahahaha
I had a similar reaction. I remember reading Batman fighting Zoom in "The Button" and how desperate it felt to go against a speedster where every second counted and even with cunning Batman got wrecked. It was great stuff and made me like Batman more. This? Unless there is some convoluted explanation as to how it is possible is fan fiction levels of hilarity.

Tom King just trolled the battle forum nerds, lel. XD
But yeah Catwoman reacting straight up to 3 Flashes is utter madness, and let's not even start about whistling Superman out. :D
@morpheus_: In a way thats even worse. The Catwoman scene is stupid, the Superman scene is stupid but tries to miserably cover its stupidity.
@entropy_aegis: I wouldn't have minded if Batman had used a piece of equipment which would enable him to produce a specific frequency that would take Superman down -- now you can just whistle and knock Clark out cold, apparently.
Oh man that's just bad, really bad
Catwoman reacting to 3 speedsters and one shot them, i swear to god every batman related characters have pis cis wis on steroids
The really depressing thing is that, unless you are Christopher Priest, there seems to exist somekind of DC editorial mandate, or writers are too polite, that this kind of dung never happens in other books.
Like when was the last time you saw Wonder Wonder or the like having to fight a brainwashed Batman courtesy of Dr. Psycho?
no one remembers batman surviving a punch from superman?
He didn't survive it. Ivy said he was dead and she revived him.
@morpheus_: Tardy, Tom Tardy, that's his name.
