Thoughts on The Eternals?
Idea - Titans are Deviants that absorbed their assigned Eternals. After generations of evolution, we get the Titans in the concept art, with Thanos indeed being a genetic mutation. The power once held by the few Eternals had become diluted, but this genetic mutation somewhat taps into it, which is why he was as powerful as he was.
@rawsos: It was awful.
Story makes no sense, 0 development of characters, unlikeable characters, stupid decisions ( despite concept was very interesting ), movie is basically like a soap opera in 70% but actual action is happening at finale.
Only CGI is cool i admire.
who watches marvel after endgame?
Millions of people.
who watches marvel after endgame?
This reached 70 million views in 2 months. I think plenty of people are lmao
@jeopardizepride: fans of Sony Spider Man films will add to that number since it has Sony film characters crossovering. No wonder its a big deal....
It’s different.. and I don’t know what mama7 is talking about, because it’s mostly character development.
I liked it, but it did feel pretty long.. and it’s pretty divergent from normal MCU flics.
Would have been much better at 2 hours instead of 2 hours and 37 minutes. Cut Jon Snow and have the Eternals regroup much faster.
Didn't feel much like an MCU movie, outside of a few references and jokes. The cast were all pretty good, action was meh but the overall the story wasn't bad, the whole thing just needed to a bit tighter. I get that we're character building but it's dragging the pacing.
It was good much better than black widow
Don't know why was everyone harsh on it maybe they've grown weary of the MCU
Would've liked to see more of Kit Harrington (Jon Snow), but it seems he'll be more involved in the sequel
Boring and woke from what I’ve heard. Not sure when I’ll watch it though, or if I even will
What does woke even mean now days? I keep seeing it. For example back in the day someone would be called woke if they claimed the US was only in Iraq for oil but now days it gets thrown around randomly. I read comments under a movie trailer which happens to have an interracial couple "woke garbage". A diverse cast "woke garbage". A gay character "woke garbage". People like TheQuartering, Ben Shapiro and etc have done a good job of dividing so many. Remember that's how they make money. They have to keep finding shit and exaggerate how bad it is to constantly post content and feed the itch of those who are looking to be angry at something.
Its crazy to think that woke used to be seen as good thing but now days its like its been hijacked by bigoted incels who hate anything thats not "white straight males". People who want every MCU movie to be like the first Avengers with 5 white males and 1 eye candy and now they're upset that the MCU are trying to be more inclusive.
And yes I am aware that there are people who are annoying and try to force wokeness down our throats. You'll find extremism everywhere. Just like the anti woke crowd who are the opposite side of the same coin. Just as whiny as those who try to force inclusiveness. At least some on the forced inclusiveness side have their hearts in the right place whereas many on the anti woke side just boils down to altright incel scum who'd probably support Nazi Germany if they were still around today.
@joshua1990: "Woke" doesn't mean anything anymore. Its just a strawman

Woke means they inject unnecessary political shit into something that doesn't need it. For instance, this film was marketed more on it's "Diversity" and "firsts" more so than actually being about The Eternals.....likely because nobody, even comic book faithful, really gave a shit about them to begin with.
I actually really enjoyed it.
It’s not a masterpiece like most cbms aren’t but I enjoyed the dry humour and the aesthetic of the costumes and powers etc.
The characters have great potential going forward especially Ikaris and wow did the Celestials not just look absolutely epic lol those were some of my favourite shots to date.
@cattlebattle: Have u watched it?
Looks horny
Then I Must See it!

this is true
It was Meh, it had some Cool Moments in it at times. While it had some of the Progressive Stuff in it that really did not detract from the Film IMO not as much as other Problems.
It was fine, it's nowhere near as bad as critics are making it out to be, although it's not a particularly strong entry for the MCU, it falls right in the middle, but I enjoyed that it was pretty different from everything we've seen so far.
Really great movie. Yeah, compared to other marvel movies it falls short but way better than most of the DC movies. Don't really get the hate.
It was awesome. Makkari was amazing (better than both LA Flashes) and Ikaris was great too (better than DCEU Superman). Druig was interesting as well.
The lore was great and I was blown away by the CGI. With just this alone, I would rate the film 7/10. However...
I watched it hoping to see the Celestials. And boy did they blow my expectations out of the water. Arishem's appearance at the end was spectacular and terrifying.
This movie is a 10/10 just because of the Celestials.

Cool opinion to have but what does Flash and Superman got to do with this. People always find ways to hate on the DCEU for everything lmao.
@lazerbeak: Because it's embarrassing that Marvel made a more interesting Superman in their movies than DC did.

More interesting? He was lousy as hell. He barely emoted and flip flopped via the most predictable cliche ever.
