Hmmmm.
Thought Provoking Issues in Comics
Has their ever been an issue in a comic that ever made you go Hmmm
I mean a really hmmm, not "Hmmm wonder when im gonna see Lois naked".
Ones that make you sit back after reading the Issue that you almost tear up or you get angry.
I have had plenty and some of them turn into sadness or anger. But they do make me go Hmmm?
my most recent would be Issue 40 of Transmetropolitan
It delved into what their world had become that children resort to a deplorable act to survive. It just made me think and wonder will our world become something like the City in our time.
Now lets hear your stories

Well I could just state the obvious which is the problem of prejudice in every X-Men title...but that's not a story cause everyone knows that
Midnight Lantern says:
"Ghost Rider 18. It gave an interesting look into the world of the difference between Angels and Demons."
what difference?
that one group is good and the other evil?
Ghost Rider 18. It gave an interesting look into the world of the difference between Angels and Demons.
Sakkara says:

Yeah I guess. It was just interesting to me.
Darkchild says:
"hey ML that will be it for me tonight with the battle ill be on but not in the mood to do an rpg. I think everyone who enjoys comics should read Transmetropolitan. it just oozes greatness"
Alright.
Amazing Spider-Man's black issue was pretty much a tear jerker, especially because it was only a couple months after the event it was based on. (9-11)
Transmet was an amazingly thought provoking series and never failed to really make you think about the world as a whole...
a few others of note i can think of...
Preacher
Actually makes you think about theology and your own beliefs, amazing read and has a really serious undercurrent...
No Mans Land
Ok, it's Batman, but if you actually look under the basic superheroes and story about human endevour you can actually find an amazing story about how humans have the need to congregate in numbers for safety and sanity, and without laws how they quickly delve back into a basic bartering system where a pair of gloves is worth more than a rolex watch.
Emerald Twilight
ok, this is probably where i get slapped by every other Green Lantern fan on the site... i loved Emerald Twilight...
i loved the idea that all heroes, no matter who you are, have a breaking point, somewhere where they are pushed too far, have seen too much and finally snap. i loved this story in particular because it showed how one of DC's greatest heroes, Hal Jordan, could ultimately become one of it's worst villains because he was pushed too far...
brilliant story :D
