I've seen a couple of videos speculating about Thor's new hammer (as seen in various toy sets such as LEGO and FunkoPop).

But recently I've seen merchandise that explicitly states the hammer to be 'Stormbreaker'.

As I'm sure you all know, Stormbreaker is the supposed hammer of Beta Ray Bill in the comics. Some people have speculated that Thor's new hammer would be based on his Ultimate version, which doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

There's an article on it here.

What do you guys think? Would you have preferred it to be the Ultimate Thor's hammer? Do you like this design?

Can I also add that some toys/figurines I've seen of him has his right eye? Is this spoiling the fact that he maybe gets his eye back?

No, its just to hide Thor Ragnarok's spoiler (If you can call it that way) of Thor losing his eye to Hela in combat.

@gateofbabylon: He has both eyes in the trailer?

Not in the trailer but then again there aren't much scenes of Thor in the trailers. Or it could also be edited to misdirect us. Wouldn't be a first for MCU.

I don't think so, they clearly have no qualms about spoiling it anymore as seen in all the promo art and trailers.

@gateofbabylon: Didn't Hela just stab the eye and not actually remove it? And also, just checked and this looks really legit for it to be editing. He could be healed by someone like Tony in the latter half of the movie though, since this scene seems to take place at the start.

@king_hellstorm: probably; it's more unlikely for it to be edited especially that scene takes place directly after Ragnarok. It's more likely someone (Tony/Shuri/dwarves) gave him an eye or something.

It is a bit confusing. Vanity Fair releases like 4 or 5 Avengers INFINITY WAR covers a few months ago, one of which included Thor with no eye patch and he had Mjolnir.

@king_hellstorm: I read somewhere that Thor/Groot/Rocket travels to a planet with dwarven smiths (I think it's called Nidavellir); which was where Mjolnir was forged. He most likely goes there to forge his new hammer.

Not going to lie it would be pretty dope if Thor got a mechanical eye as replacement.

It always seemed odd that Odin has always been so powerful, but he never made a new eye for himself. It seems the same will apply to Thor.

If I had not remembered wrongly, earlier trailers and art shown Thor with both eyes. It is only sometime after Thor: Ragnarok when they start spoiling it. Its pretty effective too, my initial impression (I did not watch Thor Ragnarok until the DVD was released) was that Thor lost his eye during Infinity War when facing Thanos.

@t-phil: Didn't Odin exchange his eye for knowledge? He probably isn't "allowed" to grow it back.

Not in the MCU, he appeared to have lost it battling the Frost Giants.

@gateofbabylon: MCU Odin is scary weak. One of the most disappointing things about the Thor trilogy.

@tethadam: that's pretty cool, maybe he can join the MCU in Phase 4 or 5 as the "new Thor".

Beta Ray Bill shows up, is worthy of the hammer and proceeds to steal it from Thor :)
