Thor: Ragnarok or Wonder Woman?
Man how far has Thor fallen when most expected and wanted a Thor movie to be a comedy
I would have preferred they adapt another story then. As a fan of the mythology, as well as the comics, Ragnarok is a story that needs to be handled a bit more seriously. It's supposed to be a tragic epic/swansong for the Asgardians, not some slapsitck comedy. Ragnarok is a good movie, but I don't see myself coming back to it the way I do films like Winter Soldier and Civil War.
Exactly, it's not like MCU can't do these storylines without taking it serious because you can see the Capt movies and that's what you want
I feel like they are afraid to try something different other than the formulae.
Wonder woman fails in what it wants to be. Thor achieves the goals it sets.
And that is?.
To be inspirational and dark.
I think it is inspirational. That is subjective anyway. Dark?. When was that a goal?. It was more coloful than the previous DC movie, and focused on portraying a positive, naive and charming fish out of water for a reason.
Didn't say my opinion was fact. If you liked Wonder woman that's great, but to me the moments supposed to be inspirational made me laugh.
@doom_phd: My thoughts exactly.
Ragnarok anyday. Wonder Woman 2017 was forgettable to me.
Wonder Woman.
Thor is a fun movie... but that's kinda all it really is which means it's not likely to get a second watch, not from me atleast.
This.
I really can't cast a vote at the moment. I thoroughly enjoyed both films. Wonder Woman, I kinda expected to enjoy because of the great word of mouth I heard before seeing the film...
But my enjoyment of "Thor: Ragnorok" was a complete-and pleasant-surprise.
I'm going to have to give this a little more thought...
Wonder Woman by far, Ragnarok was entertaining but pretty disappointing in the end.
I didn't ask for a comedy show, especially not in this specific storyline.
Ragnarok easily. Wonder woman is overrated. The jokes were cringeworthy, and the plot resembled swiss cheese after facing a firing squad.
thor by far wonder woman was entertaining but pretty disappointing in the end
i didnt ask for a shitty villain that, especially not an average actress
@lone_wolf_and_cub: I'm sorry. But you're an idiot.
inb4 the report and ban
xD
@thespartanb345t: Nice knowing ya'll. I'll be back.

Funny guy and very creative, the villain was bad but the actress way above her usual lvl.
Ragnarok on the other hand turned a great storyline almost into a dudebro comedy show.
I thought Thor Ragnarok was good and one of the better MCU movies, but the constant use pratfalls and slapstick that interrupted the more dramatic or emotional scenes really did get on my nerves. I have nothing against comedy movies but this one should have let some jokes stay cut because they didn't fit where they were.
And besides that, I do tend to prefer movies that can be a good balance of comedy and drama. That's why the Captain America movies are my favorite of the MCU film and honestly why I liked Wonder Woman more than Thor Ragnarok. It knew when it was okay to be funny and it knew when to just let a scene play out without a joke being thrown in of the sake of having a joke. And to be honest, while I liked all the main characters in Thor Ragnarok (I'm especially glad the Tho and Loki relationship was still very strong, as that was the best part of the first two movies), I just feel like Wonder Woman did a better job in getting me to care about their characters, maybe simply due to the lack of constant slapstick that would have told me these characters were in no real danger.

This
box office rackings put Thor above head and shoulders
So you have no individual opinion att all, that would be pretty sad?
Both are hella overrated but at least Wonder Woman didn't crack jokes 10 seconds after the whole village got poisoned or when Steve died.

This, Ragnarok had a terrible timing with its countless jokes.
@monsterstomp: Lmfao. That’s the best you got boy? I’m a firefighter we verbally abuse each other everyday day. Get that weak shit out of here. While your at it get back in the kitchen.
@lone_wolf_and_cub: Go save a kitten in a tree.
Neither are anything to write home about, but I feel like Thor Ragnorok had more style. It seemed like it's own movie, confident in what it wanted to be. Wonder Woman, on the other hand, is like this timid litmus test of a movie that cherry picks what works.
Ragnarok is one of Marvel's better movies in a long time for me but Wonder Woman had that extra something Thor lacked. Plus the ending of Thor was predictable from early on. Both solid enjoyable movies though.
