@rogueshadow: I don't think it will happen now. The only purpose it serves is to portray how strong Thor is compared to small earthly weapons, and at this point it is not needed from a story point of view.

It could've happened in A1, when Hulk was shot. They could have easily shown Thor blocking the bullets with his hands while 1-2 hit his face and he recoils from pain, and only then he ducks.

Did people really ever insinuate that a gunshot would kill Thor?
