This Week's Essential Comics: 10/20/14

Superman #35. Geoff Johns Superman have been great. Please don't kill The Machinist. Superman need more "genius and smart" villains because right now we only have Brainiac and Lex Luthor. Also Superman-Ulysses dynamic interaction has been awesome so far

@inferiorego: For whatever reason I did not catch that article. I'm so pissed right now. I loved the series and there was so much more story to tell. I was really looking forward to the beginning of the new arc.

For me its Superman #35 and Deathstroke #1 this week.

definitely checking out deathstroke. Hopefully the story is promising.

CLONE was originally scheduled for cancellation, but at the end of issue #20 they say that they are taking a hiatus and will be back.

Excited about multiversity, red lanterns, she-hulk, deadpool...that is about it.

Thanks for bringing that up. I forgot about that. Yes, they did have a back letter saying Clone will be back in the future. Now I'm confused with Mat's statement.

Thank god that Nocenti is off the title. But even to further that point, that they are putting Selina in to a new direction (with help of Snyder and Eternal-team). Can't wait to have Selina feel more cohesive in the DC New-52 Universe.

From DC I'll be getting Arkham Manor #1, Deathstroke #1, Catwoman #35 and Superman #35 I picked up for the monster variants but I do plan to read Catwoman since it's a new team. Love the Superman variant as I'm a Hellraiser fan and the cenobite look is great. From Marvel it'll be Amazing Spider-Man #8, Amazing X-Men #12, Ghost Rider #8, Hobgoblin #1, and X-Force #11. Predator Fire and Stone #1 and Twilight Zone #9 I'll be getting as well. This week is a huge catch-up week for me, as I'll be getting all the Fire and Stone series' except for Alien since I already have that one, Judge Dredd #22-24, and Iron Fist #6. Of all the new releases I'm most hyped for Hobgoblin but I really do hope Deathstroke turns out to be good

I have as much interest in the Deathstroke series as I do the first one. None.

I really love this weeks Superman cover.

What the hell is Arkham Manner?... do we really need another Batman title...

I can say with complete confidence that Gerry Duggan and Brian Posehn's time with Deadpool is quickly becoming one of the character's best runs.

Their time with Deadpool has been the most cringe-worthy work on him since Daniel Way. It's just not good. At all. It's not.

Really looking forward to the new Deathstroke series. The 1st story arc when the New52 debuted was really good and I enjoyed the artwork, and then Liefeld took over and the sh!t hit the fan.

Don't get your hopes up. If Cap's Serum can mysteriously wear off, if Thor now shops at Fredrick's of Hollywood, and if WolverFREAKINGrine can get whacked, I wouldn't hold much hope for May considering who publishes her.

Thanks for calling attention to She-Hulk, Corey. This series has been SO MUCH FUN!! It has been a treat every single month that the Soule-Pulido mojo has been applied.

Then I'd recommend spending your $3.99 elsewhere. I and many others, however, look forward to this and love what the co-writers have been doing.

I'm pretty excited for Multiversity. I need to add Secret Six to my pull this week too, and probably remove Batgirl.

When the hell does Afterlife with Archie come back? That s**t's been so gruesomely entertaining.

I am pretty excited about Memetic # 1, a new 3 issue horror series that Boom studio is launching from this week, I was wondering if I posted that as a suggest maybe one of the staff member would be interested to review that.

Sorry to ask but deciding whether to pick up a new issues becomes a lot more convenient if a review is available specially with the way comicvine elaborates on the plot , art and various areas of the book. I guess staff members are pretty busy, but I though hey it doesn’t hurt to ask ^_^

From that preview...why is the side Hobgoblin story looking better than the actual event book? They need to pick up the pace fast. The only thing good about the second issue was the last two pages.
