issue and context ?
The issue is The Brave and the Bold #72. The villain Ghost Pilot turned Barry into some kind of a ghost and called him Spectral Flash. It is unknown whether Barry was amped when he turned into a ghost which allowed him to beat the shit out of the Spectre (which is logical thing to say) or it just gave him ghost-like powers and Barry beat the Spectre up just because Pre-Crisis/Silver Age DC Heroes are ridiculous (to be fair, the Spectre was afraid of the Flash even before he turned into Spectral Flash by Ghost Pilot in that issue, so it is possible that the later one if true, but then again, Pre-Crisis Barry has been defeated by characters weaker than the Spectre, like Eobard Thawne and Starbreaker). Regardless, whether he was amped or not, this is just another funny and ridiculous Pre-Crisis showing.
I don't know about the others but the top image is a picture of Illyana Rasputin (Magik) from New Mutants Special (The first time they went to Asgard) Chris Claremont/Arthur Adams September 1985. Those arms were conjured by Amora the Enchantress in Asgard.
@jedixman: Can you find the scan for me? I was searching through everything that I have. I found nothing.
I can't find it in the Dreaming. It might be from an obscure oneshot that I am unaware of. It's not from the Sandman; none of the Sandman artists drew his sunglasses like that.
@jedixman: It could be here.
The image of the Corinthian does not make sense, because his hair is white. This must meant this image is the First Corinthian. His new vessel Corinthian possesses keep their original hair color before turning white.
Where is this from???
Can anyone name a comic from a really spotty memory of mine? I know this is a long shot, but I also know some people have some really impressive memories...
So back in my youth I recall reading a comic story that I loved- the bad news is that this was in the 1990's and my memory isn't nearly good enough to give you a really good synopsis. This isn't some sort of silly test, I'd like to try to find a copy of the comic again someday.
So this is definitely a DC comic, and I think this would have been an Elsewords comic or some other sort of "alternate universe story". I know there were several heroes involved but the only one I remember for certain is The Flash. In this story Flash couldn't run anymore, I think he had cybernetic legs, and he was using guns in the comic. But his super-speed would cause the guns to overheat, burning his hands and melting the barrells. The main other element I recall was during battle sequence, Flash used his speed one last time to save another hero, jumping in front of a spear and dying as a result of the wounds.
So at least a few readers are thinking "this is the worst synopsis ever!"- yes, it really is. Sadly it's an old memory and that's all that really comes back to me. If anyone has any ideas, or maybe ways I can try to start looking, it would be greatly appreciated!
