The Venom movie has a release date.

Sony's announced that they're releasing the Venom movie on October 5th, 2018.

Thoughts? Will this tie into the MCU or be solo?

Also, it's being written by the dude who wrote The Amazing Spider-Man 2...

UPDATE: Amazing Spider-Man 2 writer apparently no longer involved. Instead it'll be the guys who wrote.... the JUMANJI reboot?

Wasn't interested when they announced it, got interested in Spider movies over all when he joined MCU, back to being not interested because of the writer.

Either it is part of MCU or a waste of time without Spider Man.

Cool. I think this has a lot of potential.

Will it tie into the MCU? Probably. They'd be insane to have it as a solo movie.

Unless this is Agent Venom, I'm not seeing how this can be good.

Wait, what? When I saw the video in my YouTube subscriptions I didn't believe it. I can't believe it's still a thing. Oh well it sounded like a bad idea in the first place.

I remember months back in a thread about this Venom movie that Sony said Venom would be a standalone franchise and character. Meaning no Spiderman appearances and not MCU related........what a joke. Terrible. This movie is doomed.
