The Luke Cage Trailer is Here

Get ready for the first full trailer of Luke Cage, which is appearing on Netflix on September 30. One of the heroes for hire will be kicking butt on the streets of New York, following in the footsteps of Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

Luke Cage comes to Netflix on September 30. What were your favorite moments in the trailer? Probably the moment where he was wearing his classic tiara, right?

Nope, favorite moment was when the guy went flipping up head over heels at the boxing ring. This looks like it's going to be awesome.

I admit I'm suprised he got his powers as an adult. After what we saw from the USB-Drive in Jessica Jones I expected him to have been experimented on as a kid. Also wondering who or what they are putting in as a physical threat for him, given that he seems completely unaffected by any kind of regular weapon. Not that they couldn't make a suspenseful show with villains threatening the people around him as their way of attacking him, but I would expect at least one guy that could potentially kill him in the movie.

i am so hyped for this. Like Luke Cage is a well developed and an overall great comic book character. his powers arent flashy... hell they aint even that special but they allow him to hang in the big leagues and thats just awesome!

Love the nod to the cuffs and tiara. My favorite thing about these Netflix shows is they all have a very similar tone, yet you get to view the goings on from different perspectives. Super looking forward to this.

This looks like it could be the best of Marvel's Netflix offerings yet! The nod to Cage's original costume was pretty great. My only criticism so far is the darkness of the color palette. I get that they want to have continuity between the looks of these shows, but this one feels lighter in tone, and that tone doesn't really fit the visuals.

This looks amazing!! Also I'm patiently waiting for Iron Fist. Can't wait till they team up!!

@nappystr8: I think I might agree with you on the darkness of the show. The thing that sets Luke apart from Matt and Jessica is he's not guilt ridden or self loathing. They could brighten up this show and still stay in step with the others.

I like the callback to the gauntlets and tiara, but those props did not look good.

Everything else looked badass. Looks like we'll get an, "I am Iron Man" moment.

Didn't blow me away like the DD and JJ trailers, but that was good. Loved the metal headband/tiara reference.

I'll definitely give this a shot when it comes out.

@stahlflamme: I've been hoping for Tombstone for a while, he's about as strong as Cage and usually controls a portion of the criminal underworld

I really like Luke, but... this shows me nothing to get excited about. It didn´t tell me anything about what the show has to offer, other than some one-sided fights and on-the-nose imagery (looking at you crown guy)

The teaser trailer was only a couple weeks ago and now the official trailer is released less then a month before the show airs. Meanwhile Iron Fist already has a teaser and it's not gonna be released till 2017.

Marvel/Netflix shows haven't disappointed me yet, and I expect greatness from this one.

Nice to have a black hero headline his own Marvel show and isn't a sidekick. This was sweet. I could care less about the damn 70's easter egg since that whole outfit was ridiculous.

@longbowhunter: Or it could be a deliberate choice, maybe his more up beat personality is meant to contrast with the dark elements hes meant to come into conflict with.

@black_arrow: She almost certainly will I can't recall if there were any announcements confirming it but they seem to be setting her up as the lynch pin that brings the Defenders together.
