The public beta of Gwent is now available to download for free on all current-gen platforms and PC, so here is a place to discuss it. Is anyone playing it? As it turns out, I'm really bad.
The Gwent Thread
Alright, I've made some of my own custom decks now so I'll hopefully start winning some games.
If you want to add me, my GOG username is exactly the same as my name for Comic Vine.
I'd been playing the closed beta for about 6 months last year. I was hooked and I thought it was a great card game. At first, I was a bit worried and annoyed they had changed the game so much from the game in The Witcher 3. But, it didn't last long and I really liked it. I also realized that a more complicated and more detailed card game was necessary. But then around in November to January, they kept adding updates and new cards that totally changed the game for me. Like that shield card (i forgot the name), that gives cards a shield from an attack. I really didn't like that.
Anyway, what I'm saying is that they changed the game too much for me and I stop playing. Maybe it was all too much for my tiny brain or I just didn't like the new cards. It is a good game though. The art on the cards is great, the game rules are good and they did a good job of expanding upon the original in the Witcher 3, plus the microtransaction balance seemed okay. Idk, maybe I'll come back to it and give it another chance. I left just before they released the Milfgardian deck.

Do you have a PS4 by any chance?
@lubub55: :(
It was my favorite thing in the Witcher 3. I kicked ass lol, I wanna see how I do against actual people.
I just hit 6. Anyone wanna play few sparring matches?
I'll be ready soon. I think I'm the same level as you.
@xerolot: What level are you?
