I'm guessing they'll continue such shows on Disney+

One less show to watch. Unless Disney+ revives it later of course.

I'm gonna be honest, I forgot all about this show. I haven't even thought about it since season 1.

I highly doubt it. Disney+ is going to be the home of the canon MCU shows alone when it comes to new Marvel content.

I hate the fact that Disney is killing good shows. They barely advertise the shows then act suprised when the second season doesn't get as many views. Hopefully they'll use their movies to boost the shows that they have

@hypnos0929: why blame Disney for that when it’s crappy ratings were mainly due to Fox?

@mike_fowler: Because Disney seems to be making a lot of power moves that force other companies to get into financial trouble. They're strategically killing competition

fox also cancelled lucifer that has good rating after disney deal.

@plotweapon16255: cept that deal had jackshit to do with their decision to cancel Lucifer, and more so to deal with them not thinking the show is that profitable for them. I suggest you look at the actual tv ratings for lucifer by the time Fox cancelled it, they weren’t that good and were steadily dropping. Between that and it not being really owned by Fox, writing was on the wall for its cancellation

Same with the gifted.

Basically, the Disney deal had nothing to do with these shows’ cancellation, what caused these shows’ cancellation was the low viewership

S2 was a letdown, but I was excited about S3 after that cliff hanger. Post Apocalyptic future is always fun to explore. I hope some other network picks it up, but I seriously doubt it.

@hypnos0929: mate, the gifted has been having crappy viewership since the second season, and it was steadily going down as it went on, Disney had nothing to do with that

Was that specified somewhere?

No but the Disney acquisition in confluence with the new headline Marvel D+ shows seems to spell death for most non MCU Marvel shows. The Gifted's poor performance in ratings is the icing on the cake.

@rogueshadow:

I guess that's possible.

But from what I know Daredevil, Luke Cage and etc etc have also been axed (Not sure about this one read it on a headline somewhere).
