The best comics no one reads about

I was just wondering the other day with the Dwayne Mcduffie discussion how come that a crap comic like the JLA or the Hulk outsell most of their competition and how some series that are some of the best in the market struggle to find any sales at all like Blue Beetle and Manhunter (I'm a big fan of both series and the characters)

So I was wondering, according to you what are the best series that no one seems to put atention, this can also help bring support and help to those series which frankly need it.

Some came to mind

• Blue Beetle, yeah I know I just mentioned it and that the series is done and comming back as a co-feature and I admit that atfirst I didn't want to try it because it looked childish, but as soon as I heard a lot of recommendations I tried it and I have to say that I hate I couldn't get the chance to support this series before or that more people did the same mistake. Giffen, Rogers and Sturges really created a great new hero with one of the best supporting cast in comics. If you haven't tried it yet check the tps I assure that you won't be dissapointed.

• Manhunter: The series has been cancelled around 12 times but the fans (as few as they are) love the book enough to make it come back time after time. Manhunter is one comic that lives in both the superhero and vigilante world and yet has a unique feel to it.
• The Mighty: Love comics that grab an unoriginal genre and then give it an original twist. The Mighty is easily a Superman clone and yet it is becoming something completely it's own.

The Walking Dead, I never see anyone talking about this book and it's got to be one of the continually best well written books around

DMZ, Huanted Tank. theres two that I have hardly seen anyone talk about. DMZ is a great little story.

Walking Dead is awesome, but it's also one of the most depressing thing I've ever read.

I have never heard people talking about Unknown Soldier on this site, I know the critics like it and its up for an award but nobody is talking on this site about it and I think its one of the most reveling and well written series going on right now.

Oh yeah Haunted Tank was awesome.

I like a few of the Blade comics like Nightstalkers, and his last solo series. I am probably one of the few though.

Atomic Robo. Any Atomic Robo love?

Monkeyman and O'Brien, Atomic Robo,Nextwave

Stuck Rubber Baby.  It's about a closet homosexual growing up in the South during the Civil Rights movement.  He watches as blacks and homosexuals are treated horribly while he tries to hide his own sexuality in the fear that he would be killed.  Near the end the main character describes what it would be like to be lynched, the absolute horror and feelings of hopelessness as people try to kill you for what you are.  It's a very moving book.
