''The Batman'' Trailer
Dope
Sadly,no uniform to Catwoman
The director said that she isn't Catwoman ''yet''
@eurydice225: Matt Reeves said on DC Fandome that she's not Catwoman yet.
@yuuki157: @ghostodoofus2:uhhmm...ok
i read that Matt said that the other two villains in the movie are in their beginning too
It looks amazing and hearing Matt Reeves talk about it really hyped me. Also he sold me on the concept of the TV show.
@hydratedfubuki6: this is a very young batman, the director said this is him in his second year, so while not an origin story, he's very young and will make mistakes
I just don't see Bruce Wayne when I look at him, but the Batman parts were great, the armor also reminds me of the one he used in Arkham Knight.
Looks incredible, the perfect blend of the best parts of both Nolan and Snyder’s drastically different takes.
Also I agree with one of the comments above, I get immense Netflix DD vibes from this and I’m all for it.

for a moment I thought he was gonna say "I'm Batman!"
lol same
Looks horrible. The suit is too skinny, even with the obvious padding on top of everything else. He doesn't really sound the part either.
Batmobile was ok looking. We didn't get a good view of it, but it seems suitable.
Riddler's design is.....ugh. No thanks. I appreciate that someone's bothering to put him on the big stage, but the design is off. It's like they were going for a Dark Knight style redo of the character, but he's nearly unrecognisable.
@professorrespect: LMAO you thought that was Riddler's final costume. Matt Reeves explicitly said that this is only Edward's beginning as a criminal, he's not Riddler yet.
@kgb725: He'll get stronger, count on it.

LMAO I knew that. It being a "noob" design doesn't excuse it from looking bad, unless that's the point.
@professorrespect: How was he supposed to look? Fashionable when he's supposed to be a disturbed individual?
I adore this. An extremely gritty style, unlike none ever used before for a Batman film, seems like the perfect fit for a detective story. And I'm really excited to see this narrative of the character explored more cinematically - closest to what we have gotten to this is TDK, and not even that was quite like this. It might also open way for a more psychological, character driven arc on Bruce Wayne. I definitely saw that in the first few scenes of the trailer.
Also, I am receiving heavy Arkham vibes on that bat beat-down scene, and this is still not lacking in DD vibes as well.
Looks fantastic. I think this will be an incredible blend of Nolan, Burton and Snyder's styles, with a shot of the noir/detective vibes from Arkham.
I know Batman's supposed to be dark and all, but could someone turn the brightness of the image up a bit? The picture doesn't have any freaking midtone.
A lot more positive about it than I expected. Hopefully, and it seems like they will, focus on the character of Batman more than others. Make sure the performance is great for him instead of his rogue gallery. Thats nice and all, but with Murphy, Neeson, Ledger and Hardy, it seemed as though Batman was kind of an afterthought.
Every Batman has been just passable imo. I have yet to see a truly great iteration in cinema.
