Thanos #16: Sh** just got real *spoilers*
It doesn't make sense that King Thanos can beat Galactus that easily and then struggle against someone who even 616 Thanos doesn't struggle against.

@thorthunder98: @ldm: @all-father:
Well this is clearly an amped surfer, he's jet black
@cull_obsidian: Even so. His off Panel and on feats are ridiculous. Beating The Watcher, Celestials, LT Etc. Someone with that power level doesn't struggle against Surfer, even if he's amped.

I agree , but we are unsure of the amp
Ok... I’m really confused. What comic series is this cause I want to start ASAP. Also is this an alternate reality, future, or demension.
@asgaard@thor_parker82 idk if you guys are keeping up with this or not but might be interested in the last panel

616 Thanos appears and the events are canon to him, everything and everyone else involved is part of an alternate future.
@cull_obsidian: Yea but what's Mjolnir got to do with anything why would that be what he needs to beat Thanos who already one shotted Galactus' head clean off it's not like Mjolnir would've been a threat to Galactus. Plus Thanos supposedly already beat OKT who would've had Mjolnir so doesn't really make much sense. We still don't even know how Thanos is so powerful that he can even one shot Galactus anyways.
@byrd42: And why is Galactus carrying that big gun , he looks like a Space Marine lmfao.
What the hell is up with Marvel.
First Odin with a minigun, now Galactus with a gun. Next we'll see Living Tribunal with an RPG lmfao.
@morpheus_: Couldn't Cap already hold his own against Iron Man in the comics?
@morpheus_: ah ok thanks for the info
lol wut????
everyone is Thor lately.
did Surfer also took Thor's name and he is better at wielding the hammer as well???
@morpheus_: Couldn't Cap already hold his own against Iron Man in the comics?
Without extraneous circumstances, no. In Millar's Civil War comic Cap had to cheat and deactivate Iron Man's armor -- twice -- to stand a chance. He was being beaten like a bongo drum before that.
@wakel: Ironman can no sell nukes at 3% power, so no
Cap is bottom tier in Marvel tbh
@morpheus_: Ah, I haven't finished reading yet but I figured it wouldn't be clean.
To put my mind at rest I just assume the armour was weak, because it was built into the jet.
Civil War clearly didn't care for power scalling.
This comic is awesome what are ppl smoking?
I suppose they don't like how stupidly overpowered King Thanos is.
@all-father: Storytelling>>>muh feats
@theawesomeflashsandiego32: thanos 2016

Pretty much this☝️....at least for now!
@_kingoflatveria: Exactly , comics are not written with battle forums in mind, power levels serve the story not the other way around, but of course there has to be some kind if consistency

To be fair aside from the origin of Punisher-ghost rider-herald there wasn't really any story telling. The origin was cool but a bit generic. Its not bad but I don't know if I would call the issue awesome.
Also while feats aren't everything the all over the place power levels is distracting. Like if thanos has the twilight sword and one shotted galactus without the twilight sword why is mjolnir a threat? I mean the last issue with surfer/fallen one/future Norrin leading the annilus wave against thanos and that was suppose to be our oh shit moment and than the annilus wave just got obliterated.
Also doesn't it make king thanos look foolish that he brought back past thanos to the future because he thought he would need help but had no clue how strong Norrin was? He seemed to be surprised by how easily his black hand took out the annilus wave. And he seemed to believe that was all Norrin had so why did he bring his past version to the future?
@jashro44: Not to mention that i don't quite understand why Castle doesn't punish Thanos instead of helping him.
He's insane. He spent so long alone I think he just wants to be with company at this point. Since galactus died and thanos offered him the chance to join him...
So Thanos one shotted Galactus and Old King Thor with Mjolnir but now SS with Mjolnir will give Thanos a good fight.
@asgaard@thor_parker82 idk if you guys are keeping up with this or not but might be interested in the last panel
Actually, this is a pretty good thing, it shows us that Norrin had to work for eons to become worthy, finally some respect put back to Mjolnir.
@thor_parker82: could it be that Norrin will have the full power of mjolnir ( universe) level?? That's the only thing that would make sense

I stopped worrying about power levels in this book when The Living Tribunal was killed off panel by Thanos and then he used Black Bolt to kill a Celestial Host, just ridiculous.
The story telling is pretty god though, I like the book a lot.
I might be overthinking this but the hammer Norrin is wielding looks more like that of Ultimate Thor's compared to 616 Thor's due to the more unevenness

It does but then still makes no sense why he needs it when Thanos already beat OKT and one shotted Galactus etc power levels are all over the place even though the story is interesting hopefully there's some explanation
