Superman TV Show Reportedly In Development At The CW

A Superman TV Series is reportedly in the works on the CW.

Thoughts?

Well, I certainly hope it's better than Supergirl (not that being better than Supergirl is difficult).

Please no. Superman belongs in movies. Giving him a live action CW TV show almost seems like an insult.

I actually liked CW Arrow and a few cross overs. Flash was OK at times, but I couldn't stomach Supergirl. I think CW lends itself better to street level action than the CGI intensive battles Superman would get into.

I hope it's a prequel like Smallville. While we wait for the DCEU to have Superman again, this show could help stave off our hunger.

I honestly don't know if I trust CW to make a Superman show...they did Flash and Green Arrow well but Supergirl is EXTREMELY cheesy!

If I were Cavill, and this may already be happenin idk, but I would bail on the role. Bond is there for the taking for him imo

Superman in the DCEU is done for. Hes not gonna show up anywhere for a long time. Thats the reason CW has been giving the green light to start a Superman TV show.

This show is gonna be trash. By Golly, prepare to get the exact interpretation of Superman people have been making fun of for years lmao it's gonna be like making a show where Aquaman is useless and talks to fish.

Eh. I am surprised though. It's been a while since he's been Superman, I didn't think they'd bring him back.

They need someone else then. As much as I like the actor he's a bit off, I don't know what it is but he's just not quite Superman. I'd love to see a Val Zod show though.

@mazahs117: I think they're at an impasse. Cavill wants more money, WB is calling his bluff. Nothing is moving. But honestly, it makes me mad, Cavill obviously loves the role.

I mean, he is a runner. They're not exactly known for being beefed up. Gustin is in good shape too. I don't think it's a big deal.

Cav-El is definitely getting shelved. No way they would allow the CW to green light this if they still had upcoming Superman movies planned

@wolfrazer: Yeah, but Lois and Clark was more about the relationship of between him and Lois. Smallville was more about how he grew up to become Superman. Both of those shows weren’t very good anyway. Making a new live action show for Superman doesn’t feel right for the character.

@kanyecosby: Smallville was pretty good imo. But this is more down to opinion like all entertainment related things. That said, one shouldn't just jump the gun here. Was Titans recently stated as not gonna be any good, yet it's turned out to be ok? Same thing.

@wolfrazer: I see your point. With Titans though it got a lot of hate when they released trailers that were really bad and showed cheap and ugly costumes. I haven’t seen Titans to know if it’s any good though.

Upper half is fine but his legs just ain't selling me on "runner"
