Superman Returns VS Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

Returns had some good moments but seeing Superman essentially stalk Lois, his ex, left a bad taste. Also, MoS is probably just the better film: better cinemascore, made more money even if MoS was a bit more expensive to produce, sold more blu rays, etc. Yes more critics liked returns than MoS but judging by the box office, MoS came out on top vs superman returns.

Pffff edit: I thought it was MoS not BvS lol so my other points dont matter. Still liked BvS more though but not as much as MoS ;)

BvS isn’t good, but at least it’s not boring. Superman Returns is a snoozefest which is unfortunate because I think Brandon Routh is a more likeable hero than Henry Cavill. In the bad movie versus worse movie match, BvS wins.

While BvS has problem, I have my own issues with Returns that tip the scales for me. For me, every problem the characters face in the film could have been avoided if Superman had just told Lois he was going to check to see if Krypton was still around, which he had no reason not to do and it happened the way it did only to create contrived problems and drama.

At least when Batman refused to listen in BvS, it was part of his established story and he was shown to be in the wrong. The mistakes Superman made in BvS can be explained by his inexperience and still feeling like an outsider. The Superman in Returns is basically supposed to be the Reeve's version, who has been doing the hero thing for years. He should have known better than to not tell Lois.

Both have problems, but the drama in BvS is at least less based in BS for me than Returns.

I can at least stay awake seeing BvS,but Superman Return is better when I have to go to work early and need something to put me to sleep. Plus BvS uncut is 3 freaking hour long, but the uncut barely makes any sense.

The point is can I choose neither? If not than BvS for that warehouse scene.

BvS: UE > Superman Returns > BvS

Bingo. That is an all-time cbm scene imho. I can’t remember a damn thing else about what happened in that movie tho

@mazahs117: while I agree that Scene is in a league of its own, The Bullet in the Eye was just as Iconic and I also Loved him Saving Metropolis and Lifting that Massive Ship.

Batman v Superman. Say what you want about the movie, but you cannot deny that the warehouse scene was awesome.

Returns is crap. Any movie that makes the Superman score boring is instantly bad.

BVS is also not very good, but that at least has good action scenes and some impressive visuals.

They’re both trash but I would much rather watch BvS, I guess.

Superman Returns was just too safe, It was rather boring and predictable, which is a shame too because I think Brandon Routh was a really good superman, he just didn't get any interesting material to flex that opportunity.

At least Superman vs Batman takes risk, even if half of them fall flat on their face.
