What is the world coming to? Hasbro has already had success with a movie based off of Transformers. This year we'll also have G.I. Joe. Let's not forget they're somehow making movies based on the Monopoly and Candyland board games as well. Variety has announced that another toy product from Hasbro will be leaping from the toy aisle to the big screen. Yes, Stretch Armstrong will soon be a hero small impressionable children can look up to. I'm sure the hope is that they'll also want to buy merchandise based off of him.

Steve Oedekerk ("Bruce Almighty") will be the man responsible for writing it.

The fact you had the Stretch Purple Monster raises your coolness factor by 100 points. Like you and all the other kids at that time, ol' Stretchie never lasted more than a few days between my brothers and I and his demise was the stuff of legend.

A movie based on Stretch Armstrong?? Hollywood is "stretching" for ideas. Even I hated that bad pun... *puke*
