Star Wars or Game of Thrones: Which is the bigger pop culture phenomenon?

Star Wars it not even comparable.

Star wars by a landslide I cant see GoT still being as big a culture dominant thing as Star Wars has been since the 70s.

Secondly if we take this as a popularity contest then no doubt the franchise of george lucas is the king on this category

Thirdly if we go by expanded lore the got books have better narrative and star wars have better characters so its kinda of a tie in here.

Well, both have been ruined in recent years unfortunately. Game of Thrones was huge this past decade but it's not remaining as influential in society compared to Star Wars which has remained influential for decades now. So Star Wars, even though I'm a bigger fan of Game of Thrones.

I watch neither of them, but I know it's Star Wars.

GoT could have been on that tier, let's not forget it was huge in its early seasons... but it burnt off its goodwill with its later seasons, and now the door is closed for it.

The only phenomenon about Game of Thrones is how one of the BIGGEST NAMES IN TELEVISION completely failed landing a series finale that was unanimously seen as rushed. (And that's putting it very, very, kindly)
