Aside from the cringe club scene, disjointed script with too many villains-that wasn’t even Raimi’s fault- poor attempt at adapting Gwen and other minor script issues, I quite liked Spider-Man. Though I do acknowledge it’s inferiority compared to the other instalments, I retain the opinion that peoples’ complaints and hate for it are exaggerated because they were fresh off the hype of SM2 which is still widely regarded as one of the best comic book films of all time.
With that said, the first Transformer’s has a solid narrative with a cool villain, the MC was developed nicely, the script was smooth, the direction vibrant and overall I’d say it’s the better film.
I love Transformers the first movie. I was in awe of it, it was a dream movie come true for me. I had seen Spider Man movies before so for me to say "oh SpiderMan III" was better, would be hypocritical and idiotic. I'm an 80s kid so when Transformers hit theaters it was pretty damn awesome, plus the movie was well made, incredible CGI and the story was fun and action packed not to mention little touches like Cullen voicing Optimus Prime.
Horrible comparison. Transformers 1 curbstomps the entire Spider-Man trilogy. Infact I'd say it stomps all of the 6 Spider-Man movies combined. Its still one of my absolute favorite films. Its just that they screwed up on the sequels.

Spider-Man 2 is still one of the best cbms , u crazy.
