I can't guarantee I'll do this each week but here's the numbers if you need/want to skip:
CABLE AND X-FORCE from 00:58 to 4:00
PHANTOM STRANGER #3 from 4:00 to 6:27
SAVAGE DRAGON #184 from 6:28 to 7:52
AVENGERS ARENA #3 from 7:52 to 9:26
SWAMP THING #16 from 9:27 to 11:51
The last page of SD #184 also revealed a new villain. Also, so good to see Powerhouse back, hes always been one of the best Rouges.
Is it just me or is this sort of video series bad for the industry? "Here's exactly what happens in all of these comics" seems like it gives people a way and/or reason not to read them. I don't feel incredibly strongly about this, just thought it should be brought up and considered.
@G-Man Stop listening to those fans that pronounce Constantine as Constan-TINE. It's not pronounce that way because it's a latin name and the latin letters aren't pronounce like that. Not everything is pronounced the way it's spelled. It really depends on what actually sounds right when it's heard or when your lips move like Psylocke for example. The P is silent and its pronounced Sylocke and if you try to pronounce it will a P is sounds like Pies-Lock which doesn't sound right at all. Here the link for proof, (http://www.pronouncenames.com/pronounce/constantine ) So, next time just pronounce it the way you originally thought (which is Constant-een) because you were right from the geck-o. You can check tons of Google links or name Dictionaries and see that way it is pronounced. Also, it's pronounced as Constanteen in the movie as well, so there goes another proof as well (and please fans don't bring up Avatar with Aang that's whole another story.) lol
@LiveForever: Not just you. This is why I'm not a big fan of spoilers. With that in mind, I will not spoil every single detail. I will not spoil the same series month after month. Hopefully seeing something here will entice readers to actually pick up the book, especially to see what they've missed. We constantly get people wanting us to spoil in our reviews and on the podcast. That just won't happen. Also, some of the major publishers will actually spoil the last page of a comic a day or two after it goes on sale!! That I don't get. I'm not 100% sold on the concept of this video. It's just some people love spoilers. And you can see RedHeadAtrocitus' comment above. Seeing this makes him want to go back and read all the issues.
@G-Man: Fair enough Tony. That makes a lot of sense. I like the idea of not doing the same series time after time. An issue here and there could very well entice people to actually read them. Great point.
@LiveForever: But believe me, I'm all for the industry thriving. I need it to. Otherwise I'm out of a job as well. But as I'm getting the hang of this, I think I will condense the individual spoilers a tad more as well. For those reasons and to make editing easier.
@Jonny_Anonymous: Phantom stranger's good, issue 4 sets up a fight with the spectre in issue 5 , strange things are happening and the art is good (if you like a lot of cross thatching).
@iceslick: Personally I find the pronunciation debates pretty tedious, but in fairness the final vowel in that word is pronounced like a long "i" in British English (not a long "e" as it was in Latin and in American English). Since Alan Moore is a Brit, some people believe it should be pronounced the way he says it. Ultimately there is no truly right way to pronounce "Constantine" or any other word, just local variances, which is why arguing over "correct pronunciation" is not very productive.
