First of all, "Venom" was a mess.

Second of all, what's the point? You're using obscure heroes, many of whom can't work without a Spider-Man connection, and trying to make a universe out of them. Just give the rights back to Marvel and let them show you how to make a superhero universe.

If these are the characters you are making movies about:

- Venom

- Black Cat

- Morbius

- Silver Sable

- Kraven the Hunter

- Silk

- Jackpot

- Nightwatch

- The Sinister Six (but as your version of the Avengers with all your characters and little to none of the iconic villains that were part of it in the comics!)

- (possibly) Miles Morales

- Hundreds of other characters no one gives a crap about without Spider-Man or in general.

...Then there's literally no point. No one will see any of these other than Venom, which doesn't matter because any superhero movie you make is gonna suck.

The reason why they made money with Venom was because it was a relatively known and badass character that was popular enough to work without Spider-Man. It wasn't even a good movie that compensated for the lack of Spider-Man, so i don't know how are they going to make money and not flops with characters that almost no one outside of comicbook readers know, and also can't really work without Spider-Man.

I don't know, I kinda like the Sony Movies and they're pretty much turning these characters into their own OC superheroes, so I don't see the problem of not having Spider-Man in them. Not having Venom & Black Cat in the MCU kind of sucks though... but considering how Marvel loves using his obscure villains I doubt they would even use them anytime soon anyway.

You think they care about whether or not the movie was good? All they care about is how much money it is going to make and on that front, it did rather well. That's why they are moving forward with these movies.

I dislike Venom just as much as the next guy, and I want nothing more than Sony to give the rights back to Marvel, but let's not lie to ourselves. Venom was a tremendous success, and a couple of people on the internet complaining about it doesn't change that. Time will tell what long-term success their cinematic universe will have, and I wouldn't be surprised if Avi Arad lets the success of Venom get to his head and mess up the rest of the cinematic universe, but for now, that isn't the case.

When you compare the texture and designs between MCU Hulk and Venom from Sony, or Juggernaut's and Colossus's textures and designs from Deadpool 2, the Japanese are doing a far better job, is a fact.

Not lowballing here, but where is the American pressure? why are you getting satisfied by such quality? at least be more aggressive with your demands, don't allow Disney to squeeze your money with low crap, remember, you're Americans, what's happening, are you really allowing Hollywood to trample over your dignity?

I'm not a fan of what they're doing with Venom and the live-action Spider-Man spin-off franchise they seem to be making, but I would like to see more animated films like Spider-Verse, perhaps a spin-off with Spider-Gwen or just a direct sequel.

After Venom, I'm completely disinterested in anything Sony does with this universe. I hated Venom, I probably won't even bother with Venom 2, or Morbius, or any of these other planned spinoffs. I'm sure Sony is going to make a lot of money from these movies, but none of it will be from me.

I didn't hate Venom, I enjoyed it, but I admit it was a complete mess and a lot of the laughs were unintentional.
