I have frequented a shop called Time Warp, I have no pics but a great story. I collect and read a lot of The Phantom works, the owner of the shop knows this and usually finds some material every few months that he puts in with my weekly pull list. He has found some very cool issues for me in the past but I went in today and he had a cool surprise for me. It was a book that collected the newspaper strips from the 40’s and 50’s, works by Lee Falk and Ray Moore. Though not in the best condition, no pages were missing, damaged or stained so of course I am going to purchase it. As I was flipping through the book the owner told me that he was just giving it to me. I was so grateful; but I guess my years of loyalty have appreciated. Just thought that was very cool of the shop owner and it should be shared.
@hulk_like_fire: That is New York right? Looks like a nice place.
@venomthebeast: Sadly more and more places are struggling to stick around so that really is too bad. Are you in the states? I know I saw someone post not long ago they had none where they lived but I think that was in Iran.
I've been going to this place called Comic Odyssey since I was 11. Haven't been here since late last year because of the virus but this was always my go-to comic book shop. I'd spend hours in here sometimes and won't even come close to getting bored. It might be smaller than a lot of the shops here but they got some good shit in here like original art, signed stuff, funkos, figurines you name it and they probably have it. Sigh, I miss this place.
Not my pictures btw.
