Should DC and Marvel cut down on the "multiversal stakes" stories?

Honestly, it's kind of hard to take it all that seriously. It's a chore to get excited when these two companies try to one up themselves by bringing the stakes of an established franchise to a higher level but not displaying enough creativity and innovation to make that journey worth undergoing. Think the only people I've genuinely enjoyed doing this kind of story through the comic book medium was Grant Morrison and Jonathan Hickman.

Yes, DC especially should since they had back to back multiversal shenanigan storylines that made it difficult to invest in anything currently happening.

Honestly they should stop doing universal threats too & only use them once every 10-15yrs but neither company has that level of self control so...🤷

They are fun to read, but should be cut down and focused on other stories.

Yeah. I don't read current comics because they've got like 50 multiversal events going on at the same time. Chaos War back around 10 years ago should have been momentus like the IG story. Instead, it's been drowned out by an oversaturated industry.

Yeah, they're happening back to back at this point. There's no real sense of stake anymore when you read them. I feel writers just keep trying to increase the scale because they're running out of ideas.

Yes. And TDK should stay dead forever. Such a shitty villain.

Even though I prefer DC's multiversal stories over Marvel's, I do think both should slow down with it. Give it a break, we know there's 100 Supermans, Batmans and Spider-Mans we could use a break from it. COIE will always be the best multiversal story to me overall.

It is getting very repetitive. They're really only good for the feats now.

Many "Multiversal Stake" stories across many different Book Titles can be/are usually tied to 1 MAIN story tho. I think this invites a variety of characters, teams etc, and their fanbases to a bigger party and perhaps even help with sales on certain Titles.

To me, Cosmological Stories are moderately vital to the End and Beginning of a Cosmos.... Once established, move on to the mainstream characters and stories ofc...

Maybe on a sporadic occasion have a Cosmic/Abstract/Elder/Principality etc spark some interest on what's below...

Eh, I have not been reading too many multiversal stories because I read X-Men comics. Multiversal threats rarely, if ever, happen on there.
