Should comic Vine get a system where users can show how they feel about a post kind of like the kudo system or upvote/downvote system?

No. On all the websites I've ever been on that have upvote/downvote systems, no one ever uses them to judge an answer based on it's effectiveness, they just vote based on whether or not they agree. And I'm not trying to put myself on a pedestal, I myself am more than guilty of my fair share of upvoting things I agree with and downvoting things I don't.
@mrmonster: thats kind of the thing. It would be nice to now How a majority feel or agree with you on any given post
Yes for likes. No for dislikes. I want to like funny posts but i dont want to see every dceu post get spammed with dislikes

Nope... Unfortunately this site is just about supporting preferences...
I just want a button that says "CaptainSalt" so that i can mark him everytime he shows up and everyone knows
@the_kidd: I don’t believe so
If anything CV should allow users to save their posts in case the site crashes or their computer unexpectedly shuts down in the middle of making a post.
I mean I had good experiences with up/downvoting on forums like narutoforms.com or dbzf.uk but it's not the first thing that comes to my mind when wanting to add stuff to this site.
@saberscar223: Okay, I remember a similar thread popping up last week or so.
@saberscar223: But I can already tell how many people agree and disagree with me. In polls, I can do that just by looking at the poll results. Or if it's not a poll, I can just read other people's responses. I think that if you disagree with someone, you should reply to them and tell them why, not just downvote them.
No, it was talked about back in the Whiskey days, but the idea was scrapped because it seemed ripe for petty abuse and encouraging divisiveness. People sometimes hold grudges and don’t always act reasonably. Understanding that, the down-vote part at least is a bad idea.

It's all an agenda. They want us to rage-quit CaVs and interesting Battle threads because of some CFR token bs.
I would but not on every thread.
I wouldn't want it on Battles forums.
But on off topic definitely.
It incites memery & general discussion. So off topic would be perfect. But Battles nope.
A likes of reaction system (with no negative reactions) would be pretty cool, but I think downvotes would make this place more toxic and scare away people with different opinions.
No. Because it'd change people's viewpoints. At least by reading someone's full post you come to your own conclusions. But if there's a guy who has 99 down votes simply because he has a bad rep or has an unpopular opinion, that might discourage people to side with that guy because they don't wanna be shat on. Many people are obsessed with likes and idk why.
Lmao and tbh if that system were already a thing, I'm fairly positive I'd have waay more dislikes than likes.
@mrmonster: Exactly.
@anthp2000: Lmao a few times I've finished a few paragraphs and something happens to my phone/computer while I'm typing and it's all deleted. At that point I lose interest in finishing the debate I was having at all. But I usually at least still post a summary of what I previously wrote before it got deleted. So now and then I select all and copy things when I'm typing. Just in case.
I remember asking that exact same thing when I was new to the website and thought it was a great idea. I was dumb af.
lmao
