Shazam makes no sense when you think about it

This isn’t about the movie. It’s just about the character. Why is Solomon even in the acronym? The rest are greek gods or their Roman counterparts. Well, achiles is just a guy with a very specific weakness. Solomon actually makes more since for black adam. Also, Solomon was just a king. He wasn’t a god.

@christianrapper: Solomon was a wise man, Achilles was the greatest warrior of his time. It's not a law, there's no rule set that the acronyms must belong to a pantheon of the same group. It's magic, it's a spell, it's a group of the best of the old mystics and Gods at the time.

yeah the Solomon name kinda bothers me to but at the same time its prolly a shout to Solomon more then its saying hey you're as wise as him.

But again lots of stuff in comics dont make sense, Like just about anything involving batman. Talk about suspension of belief

In relation to what, Black Adam's pantheon? Solomon is used for his relation to wisdom in other stories too e.g. Magi. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable has more insight on this topic but I veiw Shazams pantheon as a celebration of major western relgions/ myths (judaism & Christianity).
