It was a big shock to hear that he was actually suffering at the time. Time passes pretty quickly, as the Black Panther movie seems such a short time ago. He also did a number of other major projects.
Full respect to him for his last few years of professionalism, bravery and dedication to his craft. He kept his personal struggle to himself instead of try to capitalise on it public like some celebrities (fair enough if they do, but classy of him not to), and just keep working hard and inspiring people with his action. That's a man worthy of respect.
Venom is produced by Sony, and Spider-Man 2 was released before Black Panther 2 was. So what? That does not mean Marvel is "racist". Spider-Man 1 literally came before Black Panther. This has nothing to do with racism.

I guess this means they’ll probably have Shuri, Okoye, or Nakia take up the mantle. I know Shuri taking over would be the most comic accurate, but I don’t think she fits the role well enough. Far too nerdy and hyper to be believable.
Okoye’s actress on the other hand, would fit perfectly imo.

If only the first Black Panther film ended a bit different with killmonger still alive and perhaps became frienemy with T'challa, then Marvel could have Michael B Jordan took up the mantle. But the way it is now it will take a major re-con for this to happen.

You could possibly get a ret-con from the new Dr Strange movie. Making the recast fairly possible (as bad as that sounds considering all that happened this week)
