Returns Superman was significantly stronger and more experienced.

Honestly, one of his greatest feats (if we ignore Reeve) is using heat vision with precision to disintegrate falling glass. MoS Superman couldn't replicate that.

DCEU Superman probably would have failed to do numerous things that Routh Superman did in that movie.

Rough Superman is the same as Reeve Superman, so he could solo the DCEU a thousand times over.

@kanyecosby: Reeve Superman was massively inconsistent, who was basically a plot device. Personally, I wouldn't put Routh's Superman under the same category.

@monsterstomp: Him being a plot device is another reason why he is essentially the movie version of Silver Age Superman. I’m just saying that technically speaking they are the same character continuity wise.

He won't have the guts to snap Zod's neck.

@kairan1979: He won’t even need to. He beats Zod with his pinky.

@kairan1979: That's the same Superman who beat up a trucker in a crowded diner, rather than destroy his only means of income like a bitch.

@kairan1979: he already killed Zod in his own continuity

Man of Steel Superman did a poor job protecting the city, while Superman Return version would cause the destruction to a minimal and is more experience. I mean Man of Steel is a superior movie, but Superman Return version is definitely the more heroic and professional version that we tend to expect.

I mean that help, but it also helps that he been doing his job for years, while Man of Steel Superman is new to being a superhero. Which is one of my main problem with BvS, we don't really get to see him grow as a character except being told hey he saved people all the time. Even when they do show him, he has to be a Jesus figure and make it look depressing. While Superman Return makes saving people somewhat excited ( I mean the movie as a whole is a total bore fest and a piece of trash) and thrilling, and not a chore. It actually feels like he enjoys saving people, instead of being an angsty teen.

@jgames: Son, there is a huge difference between saving people and saving people while fighting a physical equal. If SR superman was scaled to MOS level, he would do just as worse even with his experience.

But SR superman is OP so he will easily defeat Zod then depower him and snap his neck again like he did in Superman II.

@thelastdragonborn: But technically SR Superman did fight Zod. He's still the Donner Superman. Again, technically.
