Red Hood Gameplay Shown off in Batman Akrham Knight Video

A new video has surfaced on Gamestop's YouTube page which features some gameplay from the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight. The only way to play as Red Hood is to pre-order the game through Gamestop, which apparently also has a story mode featuring the character as well.

The Red Hood has a whole slew weaponry at his disposal, including a gun, a weapon the rest of the Gotham good guys never use. Aside from Red Hood, players will also be able to control Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman as well.

While the only way to get The Red Hood story is to pre-order the game through Gamestop, it will most likely become DLC later down the road. Batman: Arkham Knight hits stores on June 23.

Looks cool, but I'm tired of all this pre-order bonus crap along with all these other sh!tty business practices in the industry. You now have to wait for the goty edition for many games to get the actual full game. What a damn ripoff.

I can't wait till they make a mod where they'll give batman his moves.

Given that most of gotham is on an island You'd have to think must people wold be berried in kane country or out of the city limits.

Love the look! The Arkham games have always had great costume design. They've found ways of taking what some would deem as silly or cartoony and making it work!!

Would have liked to see a bit more gameplay, but still excited! This game will keep me busy for months

@mrtummytumms: The biggest problem with that is trying to avoid spoilers about the game and story for an entire year. Guess what, very, VERY unlikely, especially if you visit sites like comicvine, ign, bleedingcool, kotaku, ect, on anything close to a regular basis. So if you are cool with having no surprises when you play the game, then sure, wait for the game of the year edition.

Avoiding spoilers for an entire year is impossible, so there's no way I could do that! Looks like I'll have to buy all the DLC seperately.

Well I can wait. In no rush over-pay since every year there is a GOTY edition that would give you ALL the DLC they nickeled and dimed you for. Not to mention the launch period problems with bugs and such. These days , Pre-order culture games give me less and less of a reason to pre-order since they give out exclusives like candy and say '' Oh you wanna experience the whole thing day 1 ? pay 3 times more for it ! '' Yea screw that. Time to vote with my wallet to say '' Enough is enough ''. Money don't grow on trees and I am not filling to pay full+extra price for cut-out/Exclusive stuff only to have them charge me for it later.

Costume and such..Fine , good , more power to you. But when it takes the Characters and Story DLC and hell EVEN IN GAME SECTIONS LIKE SCARECROW NIGHTMARE and put into exclusives...that is just too far. WB needs to get a grip but I know they won't since this is their last chance to MILK Batman before it is gone.

Yup, its terrible. I bought dragonball xenoverse, but because I didn't pre-order it, now I can't play with ssj4 vegeta.....EVER!

I know it's different for people with a next-gen already, but I'm getting a PS4 and AK for the price of just a PS4 with the bundle on Amazon, so really, I'm paying $40 for the DLC and that's all

I fully expect Jason to come with the season pass DLC, and if not, I'm sure it'll be about what Catwoman cost on AC which isn't much

@wowlock: WB isn't the reason for exclusives and overpriced season pass. Believe it or not it is Rocksteady. They are the ones who made the decision for the exclusives and overpricing. WB owns them but, ultimately Rocksteady has final say on the product they put out. Batman: Arkham Origins is the game that WB really had more control over. Because it was done by there in house video game studios.

Well looks cool but I'd be a fool to buy this game at gamestop, I can purchase the Arkham knight premium edition pc for $35.

@mrtummytumms: lol if only that were true. For Arkham Origins I went all out. I got the collectors edition, and season pass, and I played a few hours on release day, Unfortunatley, after that I couldnt play for few days because of some things going on. Around 3 days after the game came out, the biggest twist in the game was spoiled for me in a unrelated article. A few days after that I knew pretty much everything about the game. All without actively searching for any info on the game. I never picked it up again after that. For Arkham City I didnt have that problem since I beat it within a few days, but even then I think I had already heard the Joker was going to die. I cant remember 100%, and I may have gone through the game without knowing, but even if I hadnt, within the next week I would have known wehter I beat the game or not. The number of articles and comments about it, even in unrelated articles was INSANE.

Love that tv spot! Made me do some research and go to my local Gamespot and but their exclusive Red Hood figure! Man in this game Red Hood looks so bada$$!! Great design, be awesome if it carried over to the comic; never liked Jason's New 52 look(mouth and nose, what's up with that?). Here he looks like the awesome violent street vigilante he's supposed to be. Now if only I had a game with Bucky as the Winter Soldier with this type of kicka$$ gameplay. The two "sidekicks" that died and came back to be so much more...

@dbzk1999: Oh I remember gaming in the 90's and early 00's quite fondly and quite cheaply, never any additional costs. Then I guess it was the mid 2000s DLC started coming out and now you gotta pay for all the cool stuff :(

Tbh, I'd rather today's gaming where you can get the base game and then choose which stuff you wanna get, compared to getting the game, then having to basically pay full price for an slightly updated version.

Know what I mean? I love the early 00s and 90s, but it wasn't cheap by that much (and logically prices of games should have gone up years ago due to inflation)
