Today's rate the mangaka segment features a man who would end up having his work be highly influential in many other media productions such as films and television shows. Best known for his revenge tale stories (although his body of work is not entirely composed of those). Lone Wolf and Cub being the most popular one for being one hell of an example of "bring your kid to work" day revenge tale.

His name is Kazuo Koike.

For past "Rate The Mangaka" segments.

Notoriously little. I would never recommend to anyone to be a Manga artist, as you would have real problems living off from what you got. If you have a spouse that works, maybe. But you are looking at a very stressful job, with lousy hours, and abysmal pay. You had better be very good at it and not need the money.

@valorknight: Then they should learn how to act their age. This isn't how dignified individuals who consider themselves to be good debaters act. All I see between those two are ad hominems and circular arguments. Both products at failing to be good debaters.

Studying the human mentality in Developmental psychology and going by the replies here and Piagetian studies, they're acting like they're below 10 years old. No sense of logical reasoning and representational systems.

I get that you and most people in this site get a false psychological sense of anonymity with their usernames but your internet providers know your online history and could be used against you in the near future. I've experimented on and seen how easy it is to break a user's sense of anonymity in this site just by monitoring their online "tough guy" persona with their posts. People don't hide who they are good enough. It's easy to pick them apart by reviewing their posts. They're an open book to me. Studying Eysenck, Costa & McCrae and several other psychologists' theories on personality make people in this site particularly easy targets. Want people to respect you and your opinions? Being calm about giving other people feedback, not like a child whose barely out of their toddler years. Start acting their age. It'll help people get along.

That's what most people in this site should start learning.

So this is Phase II of the Japanese Rule of 7 Learn Some Japanese project. Phase I was here. Phase III? Well, okay I haven’t written that yet. Hey, what can I say, I’m lazy. Anyway, where were we? Oh yeah, Phase II. The “selection” phase. For this, you’re going to want to find yourself a really tall mountain. The taller the better, preferably with a sturdy pine tree. Climb to the mountaintop and sit there. If there is a pine tree, then climb to the top of that and sit there instead. Then stay there for exactly one week. You should probably pack some sandwiches, now that I think about it, and maybe some beers too. Just think how refreshing they’d be. And while you’re there with your pine cones and sandwiches and beer, ask yourself: Do I really want to study Japanese? No, really. Because here’s what it’s all about.

@life_without_progress: One of those looks a whole lot like Kill Bill. Are the two related, one being based off of/around the other?
