He is mainly known and renowned for co-creating Giant-Size X-Men and several popular X-Men characters with Lein Wein that lead to Chris Claremont's monumental Uncanny X-Men run. He debuted as an artist in DC Comics with Legion of Superheroes and Superboy. Thereafter he joined Marvel and continued his career as an X-Men artist with Chris Claremont by collaborating with him on Uncanny Men and a mini-series for Nightcrawler which he actually proposed the idea of his character in DC's Legion of Superheroes. I was going to ask if you could do current Marvel artists like Skottie Young, but it has already been done. So how about Luciano Vecchio? His art is very similar to cartoons like Steven Universe, Adventure Time and She-Ra and the Princess of Power.

I don't personally love this art style, but I respect him for laying a lot of important groundwork for plenty of great modern X-Men art.

@kevd4wg: Also, Byrne was only around for 35 issues, he left shortly after Dark Phoenix.

He also did DOFP thereafter. I prefer his work in DOFP over DP because his DP was too controversial.

A 5 for me. Granted, I'm biased against older art to a degree.

Not sure I can rate it properly since I rarely enjoy retro art. Respect the guy, tho.

@vishop_ how about Marco Checchetto next?
