Jim Lee has been in the comic industry for 30 years and in that time has worked on many flagship titles for both Marvel and DC. He helped usher in the modern age of comics, bringing an end to the copper age, with X-Men #1 in 1991, which went on to become the best selling comic of all time. In the 2000's he has went on to DC where he has become famous for drawing Batman and Superman. What do you think of his art?

easily one of the greats. His art is so aesthetically pleasing I'd read a comic even if the writing was completely crap. His work as of late isn't as good as before but saying his work isn't good anymore is like complaining that a Lamborghini isn't as fast as it used to be.

He's definitely one of the best. He's one of those artists whose work enhances the story of the book it's featured in.

Definitely one of the best. His work on xmen and Wildcats are some of my favorite of all time. I was always pissed at the those old 'wizard' magazines for always putting Todd McFarland above jim lee in their top 10 artist

He's arguably one of the best artists of the 90s and certainly in contention for one of the greatest of all time.

Easily one of the greatest of all time. He is probably the most influential comic book artist, after Jack Kirby. After X-Men, everyone wanted to be Jim Lee, with many artists blatantly copying the style he created. He also helped usher in a new era of comic book art. In the 70's and 80's, everything essentially looked the same. Yes, you can tell the difference between a John Byrne, a Neal Adams, and a John Romita Jr, but back then it looked like everyone was just trying to be like Jack Kirby. Even in Jim Lee's early work, like on the Punisher, he had more of a basic comic book style. When Jim Lee developed his style on X-Men he helped change the art style in all comics. He was part of the reason why we see so many different art styles in comics today, and not everyone is doing a Jack Kirby impression anymore.

4.5 he's good no doubt, but IMO a little overrated. IMO there are better artists working today that don't have his issues getting done on schedule and other artists whose style is more interesting and eye catching. I can't take anything away from him as an influence on the industry.

I have not read many comics that had his art, besides X-Men and Justice League, but I thought he was pretty great.

His art set the standard for the superhero look and sometimes he can still put out some exceptional pages. But that's just it, now that his style is what a lot of people strive for, it no longer seems as nuanced and expressive to me as some of the more stylistic artists' work. It will do in a pinch and make even a poor writer's work seem decent, but it just doesn't grab my attention quite as often as it used to.

He's like a really good vanilla ice cream, and I just so happen to like vanilla, so he's still a solid 4 for me.

Ive always like his artwork. I got familiar with him with the Image launch. My fav book was Spawn but I liked Jim's art best out of the seven Image founders.
