Question about Kratos

Why he can't change his size anymore?? become 1000 feet like he did in GOW 1 and GOW 2 ??

Idk why he never uses it anymore.

This is one of his old powers, Atreus speculated he can't use his old magic because his old Homeland was destroyed and his powers were tied to it. He also can't use wrath of Poseidon or the god sword anymore.

He could literally only do this due to opening Pandora’s box he wasn’t even a full god in this game

The second ability he gained and lost after putting all his power into the blade of Olympus then being slain.

He regained godhood and is a full god by the Norse saga as confirmed but he doesn’t have any Greek magic left only his strength etc.

@finalkingthanos: He still has regeneration and Spartan Rage as well, that's why I asked.

@heiqn: the Spartan rage thing is more linked to him as a person and being consumed by rage vs now being the one in control of it.

Regeneration is just part of his natural godhood.

Kratos kept his regen & Spartan Rage since one is an ability he had as the God of War. And regained it after taking back the Blade of Olympus at the end of GoW2.

While the other is an ability (It's original version, at least) he got AFTER losing his God powers and killing Prometheus:

Which is literally a part of him after doing that. Due to being a part of his skin. And it got amped further later on after killing the Spartan General (Skip to 6:00):

So that's why the size-shifting was lost specifically. It was simply taken from him by bird-form Zeus. Which happened before Kratos imbued his remaining powers into the Blade.

While these other abilities remain with him. Since they're either a natural part for a God's powerset (Regen) or a special type of powers that are a part of Kratos' body (Rage of Sparta) just like how the Blades of Chaos are connected to him no matter what, and still function despite his homeland being gone.

@cryolancer47: Good catch. I checked if he lost all of his powers after he fell to River Styx and he still had his spartan Rage in Hades Boss, so yeah, after that he didn't lose anything till the end of GOW 3 where he only lost his weapons so he kept his Rage. As for regen, it's probably Demigod physiology like another user said

I just think he doesn't need to do it , at all , so he doesn't do it during God of War III and then loses all Greek powers during Norse era.
