Planetary or Astonishing X-men?

Which one of these two series do you guys recommend better? I've never read anything from Warren Ellis nor from Joss wheadon, but I've heard great things about both of the series. Which one do you recommend better? Which one should I read first?

Haven't read Planetary, but Astonishing X-Men is absolutely awesome. Definitely recommend it.

Planetary is WAY more interesting than Astonishing X-Men.

If you like conspiracy theories, secret societies, forgotten experiments etc - check the comic book series devoted to the 'Archeologists of Impossible', the organization devoted to discovering the world's secret history.

@marcokoblinsky: I've read up to 24, so basically the Joss Whedon run.

They both have a lot of charm.

If you`ve never read any Warren Ellis, I`d recommend Transmetropolitan.
